"Master Bathroom Remodel. Last fall we decided to remodel our master bathroom. The original design was implemented in the early 90’s and included a huge jacuzzi tub, but with todays higher cost of living and efforts to conserve our natural resources, it was no longer practical. Also, the small, rectangular bathroom had a jacuzzi tub which was a space robber that sacrificed areas for actual bathroom necessities such as storage and counter space. A full remodel was totally warranted! As a designer, I knew that the floor plan would remain the same for the most part because the plumbing is already there and there are a few electric sockets to move around as well. The shower is small, and kept in place. It will be retiled (with a built-in niche to hold shampoo and soap bottles) with a new door and new shower fixtures. The whole bathroom will be torn out to the studs, and replaced with new cabinets and finishes. I went to a kitchen designer with my ideas to make a conceptual layout and elevations so that I would get measurements of what I wanted as an end product. I had all the materials ordered and ready to go. I now needed someone to implement the job. I get several bids on the project and we settled on Jeff Veglia. He provided us with a competitive price and was very helpful during his first onsite consultation. We found him to be down to earth, friendly, knowledgeable, professional, and receptive to our ideas and needs, so we felt very comfortable choosing him to do the work. From deconstruction to finish, the whole project ran smoothly and on time. The price he quoted us was the price he performed the work for. We are very pleased with the quality of the work. His crew and sub-contractors were friendly, courteous, professional, and very respectful of us and our home; especially during these trying times with Covid issues. All the rough work and finishes were completed with the utmost professionalism, talent and an eye for detail. We felt comfortable in our home with his entire crew. We thoroughly recommend Jeff Veglia and his crew for any project you can dream up! They more than made every effort to have our project turn out as we specified. "When we decided to finish the large basement of our ranch-style home, Lancaster Home Remodeling was on our list of businesses to consider. Upon our contacting John and Kim, we secured an appointment in the near future for John to go through our basement with our architect after he finished up work for the day on his then-current project. At this initial appointment, John asked detailed questions, making sure that he understood everything about the project which our architect had planned. John and Kim were clear that they would not be able to start construction for several months because of John’s current project’s timeline. However, the work in our basement began in very close proximity to their original estimate of when they expected that it would. When construction began, John worked diligently and methodically. Everything he did —from insulation and framing, to boxing out for pipes, to installing subfloor and prepping for flooring and blue board installation —seemed to take as long as it needed to in order to be done right; then he moved on. And where he offered advice in these areas, he understood that every homeowner has their own style and preferences, and directed his his counsel towards brands that would offer diverse selection and high quality. Personally, after numerous conversations with them, we found both John and Kim to be affable and people-friendly. John was always happy to explain what he would be doing next, and why he did what he did in terms of his construction techniques. Our experience has left us far more than satisfied with our experience with Lancaster Home Improvement, and shows that John and Kim run their business with professionalism, expertise, and a true pride in the work which they do. We unreservedly recommend them for your own project, and will continue to work with them as our own needs arise."

"Rich was great. He responded promptly to my inquiry, and gave me an accurate estimate of the cost. I was nervous about starting and the schedule, but once we agreed he went right at it. He said it would take 3 to 5 weeks and he finished in 4. I was impressed by the hard work Rich put into this. For the radiant heat, he sought out a company representative, who met us in my home to discussed what the installation would entail. Rich and his crew then followed the company's instructions to the letter, and now I have nice warm floors (the house is on a slab). The new floors look beautiful, and the doors as well. I included a picture of the insulation that Rich's crew installed in the walls. They are as careful with what you won't see, as they are with what you do see."

"Peter and Billy installed a mini-split a/c system in my home recently. There were 3 head units on 3 different floors. They arrived on time, discussed the work with me, and explained what they were doing when I would pop in to check on the progress. It was a two-day installation with rain on the first day and heat/humidity on the second. Throughout both days both Peter and Billy remained of good cheer, working efficiently, without a grumble about the weather. An electrician, Chris, joined them on the second day and completed his work quickly. He even took the time to tack up a dangling powerline in the drop ceiling of the basement that wasn't part of the a/c install. Mid-afternoon on the second day everything was complete. Peter walked me through the work they had done, inside and outside. He asked if I had any questions or concerns. I'm very happy with the work that was done and would recommend them to anyone who asked."
