The only reservation I have is that compared to the tank water heater that I replaced, the hot water takes longer to reach the faucet than it did with the old tank water heater."

They knew what had to be done to get it up to code because it is an older house. The previous water heater didn't have an expansion tank or earthquake straps. It didn't have the pan and things that were needed for code. I was quite pleased. He had to get under the house and drill some holes through the wall to get the overflow out of the house because the area where the water heater was didn't have a drain in the floor. He was the least expensive."

"Straight Up Plumbing came to our rescue on a holiday week when our hot water heater failed and pipes under the kitchen sink sprung a leak. We had already gotten an estimate from them for a leaky pipe attached to our water softener, so they fixed that, too. They squeezed us in, kept us informed throughout the day about changes in the anticipated arrival time, and did it all cheerfully. Robert, the service tech, was incredibly helpful, friendly, positive and professional. When he determined that the water heater needed replacement, the company sent another employee out with a new one and they both worked late to install it. Robert stayed even later to explain everything and answer all our questions. This was not a small thing since we live in a rural area, a pretty good distance from the company headquarters and Robert's home. The work was all done impeccably; no shortcuts. To top it off, Robert knew exactly how much every repair was going to cost before he did it and the total bill was reasonable even on the day before a holiday. "He actually didn't repair anything. He discovered that my leak was caused by a screw loose on the pull out spray nozzle. He tightened the screw and would not charge me for the visit. He noticed that my disposal is probably in need of replacing, which we already knew, so I will definitely call him when I'm ready to replace that."
