"Jake Barfield was the rep from Snelling who was able to come to my house within 5 days. He was on time and already knew the sq. footage of my home because he had used Google? Earth to measure it before he came. Snelling could install most brands but they had the best prices on Trane because they purchased so many ahead of time each year. so, already I am interested. Jake asked me a lot of questions to help him recommend what system would best fit my needs. He gave a great presentation That made both me and my wife comfortable and confident that he knew what he was doing. BIG DEAL!! There were a number of places in the discussion where he could have sold something that was more expensive, but he talked me out of it. So, I knew he was honest and concerned in our best welfare. That doesn't happen very often in the business world! We agreed on a system, and were able to schedule an installation two weeks later. Because the other company that we had scheduled to interview was a bit reluctant to leave the confines of Mpls. and come all the way out to Apple Valley, and my wife and I liked Jakes presentation and product, we decided to forget the 2nd company. We agreed on the installation for today, August 6th. Jake took care of all the energy rebates and permits beforehand. He called a few days ahead and said that Snelling had everything ready to go on the appointed date. I bought a high efficiency (97%), but not the highest, furnace 80,000BTU and a 3 ton 16 SEER AC unit, with about $1,000. in rebates. At 8:30 this morning, three trucks and four arrived, came in and covered all of the carpet and put on their "booties" and got work. They were true professionals, only took one short break in 5 + hours, dismantled my old system to haul away and installed my knew system. They were so quiet that I hardly knew that they are working their tails off in the basement. When they were finished, one of them went over everything with me and answered all of my questions. They left my furnace room cleaner that it was when they arrived. Great job from beginning to end. I will certainly recommend them to everyone I know. How great to have a company that takes such pride in what they do from top to bottom! Oh, and the company that thought Apple Valley may be to far from Mpls? Too bad!"

"Though the repair parts were covered under warranty, the labor cost was pretty high. A second look from a different company revealed that only a subset of the repair (of the original S&R diagnostics) had to be performed. Cost me lot less than the original S&R quoted price and still using covered parts from the manufacturer warranty. I will NOT use S&R again."

Although the project was originally planned for mid November and did not start until mid-December and the weather created a few issues, the project was completed in a timely manner once it was started.
