The workman who did the other jobs (repairing stairs, cutting off a door, fixing an ill hanging door and repairing two cabinet hinges) did a good job. However the scheduler corrected the price and quoted $1257 for the work accomplished, which only took 6 hours. That is over $200 an hour. Happy with the work, unhappy with the price."

The sales manager helped us pick just the right flooring and the installation team did an excellent job. "John and his team arrived at 9:30 in the morning on the day promised. It took the team approximately 1 hour to take up our existing carpet, and get the floor ready for the new hardwoods. The delivery of the wood was delayed, so they were delayed by approx 1/2 an hour before they could start the installation of the floors. After the materials arrived, the job went as expected after that, and the entire job was finished by approximately 7:30 pm. The new wood flows seamlessly into the previously existing floors. The installer did a particularly excellent job lining up the wood in the dining room with the existing wood in the hallway. The clean up of the floors and the outside cutting area was very good. We asked if some speaker wires could be tucked under the baseboards, and they did a great job making sure that was done."

"Had work done by Joe last August, but just joined Angie's List and felt compelled to write a review due to such a positive experience.  Worked with Tina to get the estimate and she was beyond responsive and helpful; answering many questions I had completely and quickly.  Joe came over right when scheduled and knocked out our floors in about 2 days.  We thought there was no way he could get it all done in the time frame he suggested (2-3 days) but he exceeded expectations.  Work was flawless and the finished product really transformed the feel of our house.  We could not be happier with the cost, responsiveness, and craftsmanship provided by Burgess Flooring.

"Russ and his son did an excellent job from start to finish. Russ provided an initial quote and from there, we discussed materials and scope of operations. Most particularly, Russ was extremely careful removing trim carpentry so to avoid having to duplicate stain and color. He didn't splinter or break or damage anything. He covered my surrounding floor to prevent damage from foot traffic. He moved the refrigerator, stove, and toilet providing the proper floor protection while the appliances were out of place. We made sure we understood each other's intentions and got no surprises as to the type of mortar, grout width, and center lines. His cuts were as precise as humanly possible. He treated the job as if it was for his own house. The job site was kept clean during the four day project and inconvenience was kept to an absolute minimum. Their work is beautiful and we definitely recommend him and his son as professional and true craftsmen."
