"Josh was fixing the cartridge on the Bathtub, He was not very personable we felt. He fixed the bathtub and went back out the The door without a word to us. The other guy nick was walking around checking the other water fixtures in the house, felt he was upselling to much. The problem was fixed to our satisfaction after we ourselves checked it out. Nick was very nice, but felt we were being pushed to do other things in our home. Found out that rooter plumbing guys work on commission."

"Our furnace would periodically shut off leaving us with no heat in the dead of winter.  We called Rocky Mountain Air Systems, and they came quickly.  In the following weeks, our furnace would still shut off a few more times, but they came to the house shortly after I called to restore heat  They talked to the furnace manufacturer, and determined the originally installed exhaust pipe was too small.  They replaced the pipe, and consulted me before they had to drill into the underside of our new porch to install the larger pipe. <br />"

"They finally arrived about 7 pm after calling around 5 to say they were still coming. Diagnosed the problem but did not have a suitable motor on their truck. Went to their office and got one and installed it and we were up and running at 9pm. We appreciated that they were working so late and trying to take  care of their customers with the right parts. Also, the motor was still under warranty."

"They have been great. They cover all appliances, heating, air, and plumbing. It is $60 for an initial visit to have a ticket open. They basically fix whatever the problem is, but any secondary damage, like in my case. I had a pipe burst. They helped me with the pipes, but all of the flooding, I had to go through my homeowners insurance as a result of that. It is a little bit of paperwork, but it has been working well for me.  <br /> <br /> I didn't do a whole lot of comparison shopping. The first year of service was a gift from my real estate agent. I don't think the price has been awful for what they have covered. I have just had great service and had no reason to change."

"The installation went very well. They arrived on time. Took the pellet stove down a narrow flight of stairs (with no more than one inch clearance) without scratching either the stove or the walls. Once the stove was installed, they added a bag of pellets and then explained thoroughly every aspect of the stove's operation. I had a lot of questions which Chris answered knowledgeably and patiently. I am very pleased with the whole process."

FAQs for gas piping projects in Cedar City, UT

Plumbers with proper licensing and credentials install and relocate gas lines. When hiring a professional, verify they have experience with gas systems and all required certifications. Some homeowners choose to work with plumbers specializing in natural gas installations, as they have extensive experience with similar projects and understand the safety requirements.

The timeline for gas line relocation varies based on project complexity, permit processing, and inspection scheduling. The physical labor takes a few hours to one day, depending on the line length. However, the actual installation work represents only part of the overall project timeline. Your contractor should provide a specific timeframe based on your circumstances and local permitting requirements.

Your gas supply must be shut off during the relocation process. This safety measure prevents gas leaks while connections are being modified. Plan for this temporary service interruption by making alternative arrangements for cooking, heating, or other gas-dependent systems in your home. The shut-off generally only lasts for a portion of the work, often a few hours.

Relocating gas lines to connect new appliances is a common reason for this type of project. Whether you're installing a gas stove, fireplace, dryer, or outdoor grill, a professional can determine the best route for extending your existing gas system. The cost will depend on the distance between your current gas line and the new appliance location.

Gas line work is not suitable for DIY projects. Natural gas is highly flammable and potentially lethal if not handled correctly. Gas leaks can be difficult to detect without specialized equipment. Professional plumbers have the proper training, tools, and experience to safely relocate gas lines while ensuring compliance with local building codes and safety standards.
