"John was knowledgeable of the repairs needed and got the work done in a timely manner. After dealing with another company who told me my washing machine repair was "too complicated", John got the job done without hesitation. He runs a small family business, & they know what they are doing in a world were good customer service is hard to find. The work they completed for me was a new motor pump assembly for my dishwasher and a new outer tub & hub assembly for my washing machine. Having two appliances going out at once isn't enjoyable, but getting both repaired with a fast turnaround & at a reasonable price is far better then trying to buy something new, with sky-high prices & no availability. Would definitely use Ace Appliance Repair again!"

"Tom Smock was early, efficient, completed the repair work quickly, informed us and showed us the problem that caused the food compartment cooling system to fail. Mr. Smock was very friendly and pleasant. We were exceptionally well pleased with the service. We requested an annual maintenance service call inspection for the week of May 16, 2018 to keep the Refrigerator in good operating condition because we had invested $3000+ in the 4 door Samsung Refrigerator. It was used only 27 months, and failed 3 months after the purchase warranty had expired. ________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ In our research for a "technician repair" service we found there are many complaints with Samsung Appliances and we would not recommend a Samsung appliance to anyone. Another family member had purchased a Samsung front-loading washing machine also from Lowe's Home Appliances and they reported receiving very poor service from Lowe's. They sent out a technician who could not fix the Samsung Washing Machine. The extended warranties for Samsung Appliances is simply a scam with the technician going from job to job without repairing the appliance "because" the "digital programming panel" was burned out and dead. The recommendation suggested was to "buy a new washing machine." Ordinarily, we have been very pleased with Lowe's products and services, but in the case of the Samsung Washing Machine, the family member was very dissatisfied with the service call as well and with the Customer Service repeated phone calls that were apparently long-distance overseas with a call center using agents who did not speak fluent English. ____________________________________________________________________ Fortunately, Smock Companies provided us with GREAT service. Mr. Tom Smock knew exactly what he was doing, performed the job quickly and we will give good word of mouth referrals to the Smock Companies in Southeastern Iowa. "I must admit that WE DO have an Extended Service Contract in place with Sears Home Improvement on our TRANE 3-ton a/c - heat unit, which is why we paid "zero". We did purchase this unit from SEARS. NEVERtheless, the service I received on the telephone making the appointment was stellar, polite and accurate. The repairman did call when he was about 1/2 hour away from arriving at our home. The repair was done, in a short time, not a penny was charged, and we are very happy! We've actually called for service 4x during the life of this 2-year Serice Contract (most for seasonal cleanings and "check-ups), and each time we were met with professionalism, timeliness, a smiling face, and a very knowledgeable repair representative.
BUT we did not always have a service contract in place, and we have other items (which we have also purchased from Sears) for which we have no contract. Each time we needed service, our experience has been the same - quick, accurate, professional and able to work the visit into a convenient time frame for US! Prices without a contract are pretty darned close to other repair companies, and we feel comfortable and confident using Sears, a company that has been around for well over a hundred years - that alone tells a success story!! Typically, we are not proponents of extended Service Contracts, but we are glad to have had one on this particular important/costly purchase. We are up for renewal in May, and our check will be in the mail within a week!"
