I had purchased the opener separately, but when Kevin arrived he told me I could have purchased a slightly better opener with installation from JD Griffiths for just about the same price and a better warranty. I was tempted, but kept the opener I had purchased due to time issues. (Kevin really DID NOT PRESSURE me at all.) If you're considering a new garage door opener, you might want to check ... "JJB was great from start to finish. They were responsive to our initial inquiry, responded to any all all questions in a timely manner, did great work, and everything was completed (site visit, quote, adjustments to plans and cost, and all of the actual work) in less than one month's time! We wanted to change a barn door setup that was separating a bedroom from a bathroom into a pocket door, and they handled closing off the wall and installing the new door. We also worked with them to get both sides of the wall (and the rest of the bedroom walls) painted. Finally, they helped with some floor repairs due to wood underneath the carpet having caved in in a few small spots."
