"We have a contract with them. They also do my tree trimming too and that’s like $400. They’re arborist so they know their trees. They’re not just a company that comes and chops things down. They’re very careful with what they do and they are very, very professional and they know their thing. The length of the service depends on what they are doing. The scale treatment, they usually can do that in maybe 30 minutes. Tree trimming though, that takes longer, two hours maybe. They are very, very good."

"We've been happy with the system. The only issue we had was with the installer who left the job site after he finished without let us know or giving any instructions or information about operation of the system. Basically, he just picked up and left. After I contacted the salesperson and explained what happened, he came out, apologized, and explained the system operation and maintenance."

"I built a house 4 years ago.  The builder planted grass but the next year my lawn was bare.  I tried to bring it back to life on my own with out success.  This year I contacted Bill at Green Lawns to help with getting my lawn back in shape.  He came out assessed the lawn and presented me with a very clear plan with pricing.  He was great to work with and has returned my calls on time even after I had pr-paid for the service.  A few of my neighbors have used his services and their lawns look great. He will be re-seeding my lawn this fall.  I will give you an update come fall. <br />"

"The jobs took a few days in total. We had them do 2 phases to our project. They were pretty much on time and did exactly what we wanted. Shannon was very professional and helpful. We will probably be using them to do the rest of our front area in the spring. I would recommend them to anyone. <br />"

"Their attention to detail is fantastic, the building is incredibly solid, they will go beyond simply doing a yard up to code. Not only is the work gorgeous but the walls and the construction they installed would last through an earthquake. The staff was friendly, and we asked for and added changes to the work SEVERAL times during the work, and they happily adjusted the work and price to accommodate our new requests, They finished early and the yard turned out so nicely that more than one neighbor asked for their contact information. They turned an ugly patch of gravel to a yard that looks like it belongs beside a boutique Italian Hotel complete with stone seating walls, gorgeous stone tiles small garden areas surrounded by granite trimming and all for less than other companies were estimating for far less work and with decks instead of actual stone. I can't recommend them highly enough!"

"Well, the company did not replace the large tree that bloomed. They fired the best man they had...horticulturist. AND they started doing a poorer and poorer job of "maintenance" even though they took my money every month. I finally switched. And am happier for it."

FAQs for lawn and garden sprinkler system installation projects in Centreville, MD

While drip irrigation systems have higher upfront costs, they can save you money in the long run. By delivering water directly into the soil with minimal evaporation and runoff, drip irrigation systems conserve water and improve efficiency. This means better performance and results for your landscaping, and cost savings over the system's lifespan.

Yes, irrigation systems can add value to your home, especially when installed with high-quality materials and a solid design. A well-irrigated landscape enhances curb appeal and can attract potential buyers. However, poor design or installation may reduce performance and even decrease your property's value. Hiring an expert for installation and performing regular maintenance is key to securing the long-term benefits.

A local irrigation professional can help you check your drip irrigation system to make sure it's in good shape. You'll want to make sure the water pressure is in a good range, repair any leaks as soon as possible, and cover the cost to winterize your sprinkler system as recommended by your irrigation contractor.

A drip irrigation system lasts between 10 and 15 years. This lifespan is determined by the quality of materials, the precision of installation, and regular professional maintenance. Unlike traditional sprinkler systems that can last up to 50 years, the thinner piping used in drip systems is more sensitive to UV exposure and environmental wear. Proper upkeep and timely repairs enhance durability and ensure consistent irrigation performance.

Drip irrigation is best suited for plant beds, containers, greenhouses, and row crops. It supplies water directly to individual plants, ensuring precise moisture control where it is needed most. For areas with simple layouts, above-ground systems work efficiently, while subsurface installations may be cost-prohibitive in spaces with extensive tree roots or irregular terrain. Proper planning maximizes the benefits of drip irrigation across a variety of applications.
