"We highly recommend US Waterproofing. Unfortunately, after repeated issues (we’ve had water getting through a basement door, water backing up from drain/sewer pipe, foundation cracks – all which were addressed) we now have had issues with hydrostatic water pressure delivering a great deal of water to our finished basement. Only one solution – drain tiles and sump pump installation. US Waterproofing was outstanding, every step of the way. They communicated clearly what was needed, and much to our surprise, what was not. They did not ever try to sell us anything that was not needed – only what was – installation of drain tile, window well drains, sump pump, and all work related. All of the crews involved were outstanding – in particular, the crews installing the drain tile and sump pump. The supervisor clearly and concisely explained every step – and when issues arose, they were dealt with promptly. The teams removing drywall and reinstalling also did very good work, and were very responsive. Everything was done correctly, and on schedule The work is now complete – and the basement is back to normal. I commend USW on all facets – they explained everything, did not try to oversell anything, and were responsive to issues as they arose. "Indiana Foundation Services came out to assess cracks in my foundation. I have half basement and half crawl space. The cracks were on the crawl space side. After measurements, the side of house with the crawl space was determined to have settled 1/2 an inch. Recommendation was to put four piers to stabilize house over crawl space to prevent further settling and to prevent potential extensive damage to the house if/when settling continued. One of the piers went down 32 feet before hitting solid rock. Three piers were on the outside of house and one inside the crawl space due to buried electrical and air conditioning. The job required hard work, knowledge and skill to effectively remedy the issue for life of the house. Aaron Ewert, Tyrone Moore, Darl Barr, and Josiah Dutton were fantastic. They were a cohesive team working efficiently to get the job done in two days. I, also, had an issue with the footer in the crawl space. The footer did not extend all the way to the basement wall - 44 inch gap. I requested that be fixed. The price quoted, which I reluctantly paid, was not calculated correctly. Aaron saw the error and refunded a considerable amount of the price for the additional work. Aaron could have ignored the error and collected the overage, but this company has a reputation for customer satisfaction and retention of clients. Obviously, I was extremely happy to get the refund for the overage. I recommend this company and especially this crew!"

"Progressive Restoration (Marcus Postawa) had a contract with our Town Home Association since 2012. They did an outstanding job on the town homes they painted that year. Due to financial difficulties, our Association did not honor the 2 buildings per year requirement in the contract.  Marcus was more than patient, and worked with the Board in order to fulfill the contract terms.  He even waited 3 years to get the balance paid in full. (9/2015)

The Board of Directors had a 5-way phone conversation with Marcus at a Board Meeting ( April 20, 2016) and we voted 4-1 to accept the new Change Order for 2016, which included a price increase above the 15% contract cost for our default of the 2 buildings per year requirement. The extra cost was due to severe weathering and deterioration of our siding and trim, which was going to require extra time and work. At no time was our Board of Directors considering legal action against Progressive Restoration. 

 Progressive had already signed other contracts prior to receiving our Association's signed contract and down payment, due to one Board member. He needed to complete the other jobs before starting our labor-intensive project. He wanted to begin when he could complete the two buildings from 2015  and start/finish the next two buildings without moving paint , painting equipment, and ladders. 

 I  was the Board member who was in contact with Marc during this new contract change order signed on April 29,2016, and was kept informed of targeted starting dates for our town homes.  He said he was about a month or so out from starting, but an unusual rainy June delayed completion of his other jobs before beginning our town homes.  

 Marcus and his painters had always been courteous and professional to me and other homeowners,  and they were always willing to explain work details.  Marcus contacted me on several occasions to tell me of compromised roofs, cedar trim, and gaps in flashing and siding.  He was told to paint the trim anyway so it looked uniform until it was replaced.

Progressive Restoration fulfilled their contract ( Power washing, caulk, 2 coats of paint...I  watched them while they painted one building in the 90 degree heat). He even included a 60 year caulk at no extra charge. The Board mailed homeowners and asked them to move patio furniture and yard objects away from the buildings prior to the painters beginning, but many didn't comply. The Board had told homeowners that anything not moved would be removed at their own expense, or this area wouldn't be done.  Marcus and his painters moved much of this themselves., at no charge. 

Punch lists were completed.  The President of the Homeowners Association, a Board member on the Architectural Committee, and  I walked each and every building with the painters, with their paint brushes and paint buckets in hand, and asked them to touch up a few areas before they were paid. They reminded us that their work comes with a 3 year warranty, and they seemed very proud of this!

Marcus and his painters did an excellent job, considering the condition of our siding and cedar trim boards. He really is a perfectionist, and I'd recommend Progressive Restoration for any painting job!"

"Our house had a water damage that ruined much of the drywall and floor on the first floor and the basement. For such a big repair job, I carefully looked up the reviews and recommendations from Angie's list and talked to 3 contractors that have the highest ratings. AOM was one of the three. David, the owner of AOM, quickly came to our house, assessed the damage, explained to me what need to be done, showed great empathy to our loss and current situation (having to stay in hotel waiting to go back to our house), and put a very competitive bid (about 2/3 the bid of another contractor). We picked them and signed the contract. AOM uses Trello, a cloud-based project tracking system that software companies often use, to effectively and promptly communicate task description and updates to all workers and house owners. AOM workers are professional, hard working, and friendly. For such a big project, expectedly there were some hiccups and AOM had to juggle ours with their other on-going projects. David kindly explained to me various aspects of the repair work and promptly fixed any faults that we identified. I became to completely trust David's professional skill and that he would treat our house like his. Several nights and weekends David came to work late so that we could move back to normal life as soon as possible. In the end, we are very happy with our remodeled house. I sincerely recommend David and AOM for any house remodeling and restoration job."
