"Great! Caleb cleaned the stove, took the stove pipe apart and took it outside to clean it. He replaced a cracked brick in the stove. He discovered the stove pipe cap was missing. He inspected the flue and the outside assembly. He took before and after pictures of everything. He showed me his findings through every step of the process. Within an hour after he left he sent me an estimate for the replacement cost of the stove pipe cap. He was thorough, professional, friendly, and fast. I was so impressed!"

"Nick's Chimney Service came out on one of the coldest days of the year to replace the cap. I was worried about animals and weather. They were quick to respond, quick to come out to the house (2 days), totally reasonably priced, really nice and clear on the phone, and the work was excellent. I will absolutely hire them again for the more significant chimney work I'll need next summer. Highly recommended!"

"Guardian Chimney is a wonderful company. They were prompt and got to the job right away. Even though the wind blew my flue cap off in winter, Joe was able (and willing) to replace it. The work he did rebuilding the chimney is flawless. I recommend him with no reservation."

"Gael did an awesome job. If we ever need anything done to our chimneys ever again we would hire them. They totally redid one of our chimneys including the upper concrete on top of the chimney. They arrived on time, were very courteous, cleaned up after doing the work and were totally THE BEST!!! Thank you!!"

"Called another company originally they asked how old the furnace is and I said about 5 yrs. old (it is 6 yrs old). They informed me that I should get a hold of the company that put it in because it should still be under warranty, which after I looked it was. So I called Service Today to set up an appt. to have them look at it. Andrew came out and with various questions asked I said that the thermostat we have is wifi and that is how we run it. Comcast upgraded the wifi in the neighborhood the day before and it was today I woke up and noticed that the thermostat wifi was not connected to the wifi anymore. He looked into it and noticed that when I put it on heat via by phone app or manually by the wall thermostat, it was turning on the A/C instead and visa versa. He came at a price to me of about $350 to run a diagnostic to find the issue. He did and then he comes back and tells me that the thermostat itself is burn out (I bought the thermostat from them when I had the new furnace installed 6 yrs. ago). Andrew goes to his van and of course comes with only 2 thermostats that he has on hand. One is not wifi and it was $350 or so and the other was $800 which was wifi programmable. He did say we could just go and get one from Best Buy or something but we would have to install it. We decided on the lower cost of the 2. As he was installing it I looked up the retail cost for the same exact one he was putting in (Honeywell T4Pro) and it was $75 at Best Buy. I mean really.........that much of a mark up in cost!!! It is like this company does not understand that we are in a pandemic and that money for so many people is really really tight!! To gouge customers like that. As I sat in my office crying about the cost I let myself get washed into, after a while I asked Andrew why such a big cost increase on the thermostat. He said he has nothing to do with the pricing of items, which I understood. Andrew was a nice guy and just doing his job. I put this gouging at the feet of the company because right now, people have to decide to either pay a heating/electric/etc. bill or pay a company a massive cost to have a thermostat put in. Andrew did take down some wires that were for a humidifier that was on the old furnace prior to installing the new one and also cleaned some dust and lint from the furnace. Will I call these guys again, only if I know that there is something wrong with the furnace that is under warranty still, other then that, I cannot afford them. They were better when they were Airtech. The C rating I gave it has more to do with how nice Andrew was then the company. For the company itself, I give it an F"

"We were delighted by the work of Chad and Nicole. We converted a wood burning fireplace in our lower level to gas logs. The upstairs fireplace has an insert which they removed with care only to find the installers of the insert (not Envision) placed it on a plywood base (not a good mix - heat and wood). So in addition to installing the gas line with precision and getting us a log set that is beautiful, they reset the inert on cement board and made the house safer. Envision is awesome. Their prices are great and worth every penny."

"I must confess we got a great deal from Damian and he was professional and ethical throughout the process. Let me tell the story.
My wife and I, not knowing what the cost would be, wanted to put a new block window in our basement. It wasn't the most standard job because it required not just cutting through foundation but also our driveway (and therefore re-pouring cement once the window was installed). We felt like it was a $1500 job. I got two estimates, one from Damian's company and one from someone else. The estimates were widely different....Damian's was $1300 and the other company was nearly $3000. Given the discrepancy, I personally reached out to the estimators who had been here, re-explained exactly what we wanted to do, and that we wanted the estimate to reflect the entire job, not simply just putting in a window. Both estimators stood by their estimates. I'm not one to go with the absolutely lowest estimate usually but I was conflicted because Damian's company really does have the best reviews on Angie's list overall when it comes to basement window installation. So I went with Greene Construction-we signed a contract, I put in a down payment, and work was supposed to start in very early June.
On the day of the installation, Damian arrived and quickly realized that the estimator--who I learned at this time had been fired due to inaccurate estimates--had vastly underestimated the size of the job. It was then clear to me that the job really was around $3000, or what my second estimate told me. However, I had already put in a down payment, signed a contract, and even gave the estimator (whose experience I didn't know) a second chance to change his estimate! So it seemed to me that, unfortunately for Greene Construction, we had a deal that I was going to greatly benefit from. I was basically getting 50% off.
From early June to mid-August, I waited for Greene Construction to order the window, get the permits, and get everything in place. It took a very long time, and I called Damian several times during that period to see when it was going to happen. I asked for specific time frames but was disappointed when they never came to fruition and never heard from Damian as to why there was a delay. So I had to keep calling to get an idea. At the same time, I couldn't really be that upset because I knew I was getting a great deal.
Damian, while bummed about the estimator's error, kept his head high the entire time. He insisted that he had to keep up his integrity and honor the deal...he was right, after all, because we signed a legal document and Greene Construction had already taken money from me as a deposit. He was entirely professional except for the delay, and I really don't blame him because I'd be bummed too knowing I'm going to lose money on a job.
The work was finally done in late August, and it was done in one day. The guys who came were great and jackhammered the driveway and foundation, put in the window well and glass block basement window, and cleaned up the mess. I LOVE the new window and the light that it lets into a space in the basement that had no light before. It's rained several times since and no problem! I fed the crew lunch when they were here, because in a way, I owed them and the company. I also talked to Damian after the job was done to express my happiness and also let him know something I was considering the whole time....although the contract was for $1300, I would be willing to pay $1500, which represented the maximum amount my wife and I were willing to spend on the project. Damian was very gracious even though I know even that amount didn't make him whole.
In the future we will dig out a basement bedroom and install two egress windows. I will certainly get estimates from Greene Construction again when that time comes, and I'll make sure I talk and joke with Damian about how the estimates should be right! I am likely to use Greene Construction again-a company that does great work and has an owner who is good to his customers and has great integrity.
