"Seth arrived early Monday morning to fix a leaking and ice-covered recent model refrigerator freezer and check a microwave. He was knowledgeable, thorough, persistent in finding the cause of the problem, neat, helpful, and kind. He found and explained the problem, then fixed it completely (until or unless the same drain block happens again). It took some hard work and time but he was patient and efficient in getting it done. The microwave turned out to be an electrical issue but he explained the possible causes in an understandable way. "It was the first time that we had this kind of work done. Another company told us that it would be messy to try to clean the dryer vent, and it would be better to just replace it. "I called Burkhardt and talked directly to Chris. The work I wanted done was:
Replace Main Line valve into house
Remove and install garbage disposal
Fix two leaky faucets with bleeder valves. One required replacement
Fix continuous running toilet
Chris and his associate completed all the work in about 2 hours. This included heading out for additional parts due to the unusual nature of my mainline valve implementation. All in all I have no complaints with any part of the service and I'd use them again. I did not ask for an estimate ahead or time or get any other estimates, but the price felt fair to me based on past work I have had done.

"I called them on a Sunday and said I didn't need an "emergency" appointment, but that I was trying to soak up a drip in the ceiling with fresh paper towels ever couple of hours and did they have an appointment soon? They said they could come over the next day. They gave me a 1PM to 3PM window on Monday, but not wanting to miss two hours of work in the middle of the day, I asked if they could call me at work (about five minutes away) when they were on their way over. They agreed, and I got the call at 2:20 the next day. I met the guy and showed him our drip. He told me we'd been trying to tighten the wrong thing, and showed me the packing nut to tighten, so we could do it ourselves next time. That was the whole repair, but after he made out the invoice and I signed it, he was nice enough to walk around the house with me and look at the outdoor plumbing I was concerned about and answer a couple of questions, free of charge. Not sure if I got the $30 Angies List discount or not. I mentioned it on the phone when I was scheduling it, but I didn't want to insist on a $30 discount on a $50 bill, so I didn't mention it again at the end. All in all, and very good experience."
