"I'm always a bit nervous trying a company with no reviews (so guess that makes me their first on Yelp!) but I am SO glad I did. I sent out requests for a price estimate to multiple companies and David got back to me first. He was available same day for a free consultation. He was prompt, polite and professional. After assessing the damage done to my water heater, we talked over a few possibilities based on my finances. It appeared the whole thing would need to be replaced so he offered to search for gently used water heaters. David got back with me within a week and said that he had researched ways to repair the current damage and that it was worth trying. I told him to go for it because worst case scenario, we replace it as we originally planned. He was at my house the next day and successfully repaired the damage, saving me a ton of money not having to buy a new one. He also offered multiple types of payment (so if you always have cash, never have cash, or want touch free only through an app, you have lots of options)I am so happy with his work and responsiveness! Key words: communicative, professional, courteous, punctual, considerate of financial limitations, and does his research off-site to try and find you an even better option"

"John and his team were very professional. On time, trustworthy, good with following up with project timelines and issues. They are very good with drywall and texturing repairs as well."

"Awesome job. Lee and his crew are always very professional and do GREAT work. I have used Bay Coast on this new construction add-on, 2 Repipes and several repairs. Very good work."

"My kitchen sink wouldn't drain. Called up Genesis Plumbing Repair and they were clear on pricing and time they could show up. Once they arrived, it took maybe 10 minutes to clear out a grease clog 65ft out from my sink. They made it look easy peasy! They're also a 24 hour on call service, if you have a plumbing emergency! It's very nice to have that service so close, here in Porter. They'll definitely be my go-to in the future!"

"Came out promptly and did the work cleanly and efficiently. The owner was very responsive to my texts and kept us informed of when the workers would arrive."

"The service was good and they seemed very friendly."

"Excellent work done by the plumber(s) doing the installation. Even the inspector commented positively on the thoroughness of the job for both the re-piping and installation of new water heater. Some very minor problems after work was completed but they were corrected very quickly by the plumber. The only major issue was getting the work done on time. The project was initially planned to take one week; to get the pipes finished and do the sheetrock repairs afterwards. The plumbers started on time (on a Sunday) but were late finishing up and weren't ready for the inspector when he came out Friday morning so the inspection had to be rescheduled for the following Monday. It took the drywall repair crew almost the entire week to complete their repairs and that was due to poorly managed scheduling which was not the fault of Abacus. The repair and repainting eventually got completed to my satisfaction."

"Jose brought a team and they began working on replacing the smoke detectors, replacing the diverter and tub stopper - which turned into a trial as the diverter was an old piece and he had to go all over town to find a replacement. He installed electrical GFCI outlets in the kitchen, two baths, one in garage and one outside - and went above and beyond by replacing the receptacle housings as well. He also found a leak behind the tub and repaired it after asking permission. the cost was very reasonable and it would have cost me three times as much with a plumber. I would use Jose again and have recommended him to my realtor and other friends. Great job!"

"I have used Kephart Handyman Services for several years. They have installed exterior lighting, power vents on our roof, repaired/replaced exterior wood that was rotted, replaced damaged fascia and soffetts, and painted the exterior of our house. Barry's brother Bill installed a PlexiDor through-the-wall dog door; he and the rest of the crew appear to take pride in their work. They are all kind and respectful. I like and trust them all. Barry prepares the estimates and schedules the work. While the work was in progress Barry came by our house almost everyday to insure the timeliness and quality of the work. If I ask Barry a question that he doesn't know the answer to he doesn't blow smoke; instead he says he doesn't know but will find the answer and get back to me. I feel I can trust someone like that. Barry is a pleasure to deal with. I hope they stay in business for a long time. I recommend Kephart Handyman Services with out hesitation"

"Rob and his team are truly amazing! They came in and efficiently installed a root block in our backyard on a Thursday. The following Tuesday they returned and installed a drainage system for our backyard with three catch basins and run off into the street. In the front yard they cut the grass into sod pieces before digging the trench and when finished replaced the grass making it almost imperceptible that they had done the job. Rob is an encyclopedia of information about trees and landscaping and he is always willing to share what he knows. I highly, highly recommend hiring him and his team (some of whom have been with him 16 years) He is honest, knowledgeable, and very fairly priced!"
