"In total I spoke with four contractors. When you work, scheduling is difficult - so this process took some time. When Sal came he was thorough, professional and informative. His on the spot estimate included a diagram and two alternatives for fixing the sheetrock where the previous tile had been removed. The sheetrock was heavily damaged and Sal said I could fix it or replace it. He gave me two estimates. I was impressed with his expertise and thoroughness - he actually walked me around the kitchen and pressed on the sheetrock to show me how flimsy it had become. After careful consideration, I decided to go with Stonecraft. We had received previous estimates of $2500, $1500 and $1000 - none of which included the replacement of the sheetrock. We opted to go with Stonecraft at $1600 - which included replacing the sheetrock. When his crew removed the sheetrock we found out that the previous owner had not attached any electrical outlets to beams - they were floating in the wall. Sal attached them at no extra charge. The sheetrock was replaced and then Sal worked with me to schedule the tile installation on a weekend so I did not have to take a day off. The tile installation was done by Javier - it is amazing. We ran tumbled marble in a brick or subway pattern around the kitchen and over the stove installed a framed herringbone pattern. It looks AMAZING! And I couldn't be happier. No money was asked for up front. We paid in two installments, once after the original sheetrock was taken down and the new sheetrock installed, and then again after the job was complete. Throughout the entire process Sal carefully protected my counter tops which are also marble. They sustained no damage. I heartily recommend Stonecraft and will definitely use them again when I redo my bathrooms."

"The project itself mostly involved sanding and resurfacing. Jeff removed the cabinet faces, completing the work in his workshop which spared us the dust and mess. After this phase was complete he came and picked up the drawers. The staggered approach was most convenient for me given I used the built-in's for a great deal of storage. The phases provided for the least disruption possible. Once both features were completed, Brady came and hand sanded the structure and replaced the hardware. I could hardly believe there was not an ounce of dust or mess in the bedroom when he was finished. Not to mention the fact he matched the cabinet faces which were sanded by a machine and he was sanding by hand. I am so excited by the final product and the restored furniture look! I could not be more pleased with their creativity and overall experience as a customer. I would highly recommend Jeff to anyone looking to update their home. <br />"

"At the beginning of our search for remodeling our kitchen countertops, and in looking at the Angie's list of providers, we stopped by Schneider Stone without an appointment to see what they had to offer and look over their showroom.  <br /> We were immediately greeted by June, who gave us lots of attention and information, especially considering we did not have an appointment. Not knowing what we wanted, they gave us a tour of their samples and then a list of granite warehouses we might want to visit to help narrow down the options. <br /> We live almost an hour away, but they were willing to do business with us, gave us an initial quote, and then continued to email and answer any questions we might have. <br /> If we had lived closer, we would definitely have chosen them as our fabricators, due to their attention to detail and willingness to listen to our needs. "Our one-on-one appliance-specifier for our kitchen recommended Legacy Countertops LLC on the basis of personal experience. We shared highly speculative and incomplete architectural plans with Legacy at our first encounter. Legacy understood the aesthetic goals and pointed out issues to avoid and resources to aid accomplishing the hand-built one-of-a-kind architectural art-work that happens to be a kitchen. They helped us find specific resources for the granite countertops that we, our architect, and our conceptual designer had specified. They continued to advise us through a long process of defining the shapes for a large suite of cabinets and countertops that has no straight lines in its front surfaces. They cooperated with us to allow what similar shops refused as out-of-sequence steps for standard contracts. They negotiated pricing to be fair to both parties. They worked with us to secure specific patterned granite for our job and held it for a year so that we might take advantage of a short-run of unique stone that we especially liked. They accompanied us to select the strongest and most workable stone within our selected pattern. They worked with us to place templates for the various countertops on the stock sheets to optimize the layout of the dramatic, large-scale pattern in the stone. They provided extra cuts for coordinated table-tops in the adjacent room. They installed the countertops with minimal disruption of the house and our personal schedules. They were on time and brought the correct tools and staff to accomplish the work. Their work was done with almost no release of dust, and their clean-up was superb. All fine-adjustments were done with rapid call-back. All of their people were competent, efficient, courteous, and obviously proud of the work they perform. Post-completion follow-up has been extraordinary, and our simplest request has been a high priority for them -- and their responses have always been friendly, courteous, and helpful. The resulting work is simply beautiful and well-built -- an object of really fine craftsmanship. From our 1st meeting to completion, they advised us on ways to improve the aesthetic and functional design. Quality of output, stability of installation, and our satisfaction were truly the only topics that we discussed after we established our base pricing. They have not missed, delayed, withheld, or overlooked any schedule or promised detail. We are completely satisfied with their work and their craftsmanship and their treating us as individuals with special requirements. We would not shop for alternatives to Legacy for any subsequent work. They make a practice of treating clients fairly, decently, and with integrity.
