"I started monthly cleaning service with Reliable Twins in June 2012. Yesterday my regular cleaning crew of Barb and Flo completed their fifth monthly visit. So now It is time to share with readers how it is going. I have arranged monthly cleanings on every fifth Thursday morning and there is no contract for cleaning.
My first cleaning was a general basic cleaning. This lasted five hours and it cost $215. My follow-on  regular monthly cleanings are about 2 hours and cost $100.
They clean bathrooms thoroughly. They dust for cobwebs along the ceiling moldings. I watched them open my microwave and clean out it's cooking area..  My rumpled bed is remade to look nice, and very importantly they  arrange neatly my now smaller stacks of paper!  I write a check for $100 and give it to the team leader during each visit. The cleaning team bring all of their own cleaning equipment and supplies. They find parking on the street and I meet them in my condo building  lobby to let them in.
I do not feel that I need to oversee them during their visit.  If I am called out to do something else I leave them in the condo and many times return after they depart. Barb, the team leader always leaves a written note detailing any cleaning issues she feels should be brought to my attention, For example in the note she left yesterday, ( as I was gone when she left) Barb wrote to me
 "... point of interest to report. Found a black/greasy spot the size of a grapefruit under the bucket chair facing left as you sit on the sofa. Cleaned up easily. Just FYI."
If I have to cancel or change a visit,  that is okay and I am not charged. 
And  my mother, who has heretofore has always found my housekeeping scandalous, is pleased with their work.
 For the first time in many years my mother makes favorable comments about my home.
I no longer dread her "inspection" visits. So through Reliable Twin I have peace of mind and can sleep soundly at night.

"From the time I called Cady Handyman Services I was met with a welcome and the owner was quite pleasant as he took an account of the things I needed care with.  I was given an agreeable date and name of the Handyman who would provide the service.

Tom, the Handyman, called ahead of time to inform me when he and another man would arrive.  They arrived on time and quickly went to work after checking the list and informing us as to what the jobs would entail.  They were friendly, professional and knowledgeable plus they were extremely neat and very careful as they moved through our home.  They cleaned up after themselves.
Before leaving they, with us, rechecked each job to make sure the work was complete and acceptable.\

We feel we got fine service and  a reasonable price.

"Called another company originally they asked how old the furnace is and I said about 5 yrs. old (it is 6 yrs old). They informed me that I should get a hold of the company that put it in because it should still be under warranty, which after I looked it was. So I called Service Today to set up an appt. to have them look at it. Andrew came out and with various questions asked I said that the thermostat we have is wifi and that is how we run it. Comcast upgraded the wifi in the neighborhood the day before and it was today I woke up and noticed that the thermostat wifi was not connected to the wifi anymore. He looked into it and noticed that when I put it on heat via by phone app or manually by the wall thermostat, it was turning on the A/C instead and visa versa. He came at a price to me of about $350 to run a diagnostic to find the issue. He did and then he comes back and tells me that the thermostat itself is burn out (I bought the thermostat from them when I had the new furnace installed 6 yrs. ago). Andrew goes to his van and of course comes with only 2 thermostats that he has on hand. One is not wifi and it was $350 or so and the other was $800 which was wifi programmable. He did say we could just go and get one from Best Buy or something but we would have to install it. We decided on the lower cost of the 2. As he was installing it I looked up the retail cost for the same exact one he was putting in (Honeywell T4Pro) and it was $75 at Best Buy. I mean really.........that much of a mark up in cost!!! It is like this company does not understand that we are in a pandemic and that money for so many people is really really tight!! To gouge customers like that. As I sat in my office crying about the cost I let myself get washed into, after a while I asked Andrew why such a big cost increase on the thermostat. He said he has nothing to do with the pricing of items, which I understood. Andrew was a nice guy and just doing his job. I put this gouging at the feet of the company because right now, people have to decide to either pay a heating/electric/etc. bill or pay a company a massive cost to have a thermostat put in. Andrew did take down some wires that were for a humidifier that was on the old furnace prior to installing the new one and also cleaned some dust and lint from the furnace. Will I call these guys again, only if I know that there is something wrong with the furnace that is under warranty still, other then that, I cannot afford them. They were better when they were Airtech. The C rating I gave it has more to do with how nice Andrew was then the company. For the company itself, I give it an F"

"AHS is ok. They cover repairs of most everything under the roof of your house. The companies that contract with them are not always the best. You call AHS with the issue, they send a fax to the repair company and give you the contact info. If they don't contact you within 24 hours, you call them. Sometimes they answer, sometimes they don't. When they arrive (usually three days or so later), they service the item. if it has issues within the 90 days, you call AHS again, they are sent out with no charge. If the serviceman decides the unit is unrepairable, AHS will allow you to choose a replacement from their listing (usually not as good as what you have) they will install and remove your old item, or give you wholesale amount to buy and install your own. Prices vary on what you want covered and what you want the copay to be, plus where you live. For me it is 49.99 per month with a 75.00 time of service order. You can have more than one item serviced at the same time under the same fee. If you have a SEAR product the repair guys are great. Not that wild about the other ones they send out. But it is a big savings compared to calling someone on your own. The cost of service is only the 75.00 copay."
