"Should have seen the red flags. Needed gutters replaced, gutter helmet, some facia, attic vent, some repair where new and old roof meet. Salesperson rescheduled 3 times. Felt rushed to make decision that day. Was told 2 to 4 weeks. After 4 weeks was told 6 to 8 weeks. We kept calling. Was 6 months when crew came out. Noticed gutter helmet being wrong color. Salesperson checked wrong color on order which we didnt know because we were not told the name of the color. She showed us a gutter helmet that matched our shingles but when installed it wasnt the same. Looked silver, not charcoal black/gray. Halfway through installing, had an area on gutter leaking. Donavan put caulk where leaking. Next rain, still leaking. Donavan put more caulking. Next rain, still leaking. Donavan came out another time and replaced corner gutter piece. Half hour after he left, started raining. Still leaking, but worse. We looked closer at installation of gutter and noticed corner piece lower than gutter on each side. And gutters did not have a gradual slope to downspout. Water puddling in corner. We've contacted Donavan 3 times and was told he would replace this section. He still hasn't fixed this. We've called twice to Tom and left messages with no response. When a woman, Laura called for us to give them a rating for their work, I told her all of the above. She seemed to want to quickly get off the phone with me. She said she would put in a service request. Its been a while and have not heard from anyone. Still have leaking gutter. Hopefully the BBB can help me. Other than this leaking gutter section, no other problems. After filing a complaint they finally came out and fixed it. It just seemed like I had to tell them I would be filing a complaint before they would come out to fix it."

"I called Yeager Roofing and they were very professional on the phone. They took all the information about what problems I was having and where I lived. They had someone out within a week if I remember correctly. He climbed all over my roof, taking measurements and pictures of the problem areas. I wanted the leaks fixed as well as new replacement gutter covers and heat tape to prevent ice dams in the winter. The previous roofing company and messed those items up also. I worked with Yeager going back and forth about what work would be done before we settled on just the repair and new gutter covers. Yeager would remove the old heat tape. On the day the work was to be done the 2 workers showed up on time and were very friendly. They went to work right away after making sure I understood in detail what they were going to do. There were some modifications of the flashing and shingling around the chimney since we did not have matching shingles. The work was done quickly and they spend time making sure they cleaned up everything from the front and back yards. I am just waiting for a good hard rain storm to happen so I can go in my attic to make sure there are no more leaks but judging from what I can see from outside looking up at the roof I would be surprised if there were any problems. The price for the work was a bit high I think, but since no other company would do such a small job, I do not have any estimates to compare. I had 3 other companies come out to look at the repair work but they all said they did not do small repair jobs like this. I would hire Yeager Roofing again for any roofing jobs I need. They did very good work with friendly people."

From my initial call for a quote to project completion he was available to answer questions and concerns from color selection, dumpster placement and a tricky gutter drainage problem. The Element crew was extremely hard working and courteous, arriving on time and working late when necessary. The quoted price only changed due to numerous wood panels that needed replacement which could not be detected until the original shingles were removed. I was fully informed in the quote of this potential increase, so no surprises there. Cleanup was exceptional as the crew combed shrubbery for debris and used magnetic rakes to find stray nails even in the near lawn edges. The Element roofing crew chief was complimentary of his boss (wanting to please him), his wages and the steady amount of work he receives. "Actual installation took 1 day, but estimate, scheduling and final payment took almost 2 months. Gutter guards could not be installed as per factory instructions because of problems with existing drip rail, but were installed with modifications. New gutters tended to overflow where roof valley met gutter, but this was corrected later with the addition of valley splash shields. One unpleasant surprise was the subcontracting of gutter installation by a local company that we had had previous dealing with, who argued with us about desired modifications. However, Scott was very involved, and resolved all issues, including adjusting the price based on and quot;pain and sufferingand quot;. Scott was excellent and receptive to what we had to say, as well as being easy to get along with.
Suggestion to customers: specify work to be performed by their own crew, not sublet.
