Initially thought it was an OS update issue but the hard drive had failed along with other components (including 'CPU). Because other components were involved, a new solid state hard drive was put into a laptop with a working processor - same type CPU as in the failed unit. The laptop was repaired and returned in less than a week. This company picked up and dropped off the laptop (driving from Huntsville, AL (about 60-70 minutes)-- great service in this covid environment. "Called John for some cable MGMT and electrical rerouting. Showed up on time and had tasks completed before estimated completion time. Cleaned up, would never know someone had to cut sheetrock in that room an hour before. Friendly and patient. Couldn't be happier with provided service. Would/have recommend to friends and family. John pretty much did what you used to expect big box stores to do for their in-hone installs. Biggest difference, the ones that mattered were: * John did ask if I wanted to sign up for some credit card before he helped me! Or even after! A lot of the big stores have some in store line of cred they jam down your throat. John has no exclusive credit offers for you, just shows up and does the job. It's incredible. * My baby was napping when John arrived and he made a point to prioritize the things he could start out with quietly and moved onto louder items when my son woke up. That was damn decent."

"Bought Big Deal for 2 hours handyman services. Was contacted by Jackie the next day by email and voice mail. She was only available to be called between 10:30 and 1:30. I reached her a day later to discuss the project and scheduling. I was hoping to get the job done within a few weeks, but they were booked through most of November and I had to take a date in December. I was hoping to discuss the project with Howard ahead of time so I could be sure what materials I needed or to see if he would purchase at least one item (a 4x4) ahead of time to bring with him.

The answer to both was no. She informed me that I could either have all materials needed available when he arrived or have the time it took for him to get them taken out of the two hours once he arrived. I asked if I could email photos of the item I was going to have him replace so he could understand ahead of time what would be needed (so he could tell me what to buy and so he would have all the needed tools with him when he came), and that answer also was no. She did say he'd call me a day or two ahead of the work date, but that would not have given me enough time to shop for the materials. I asked for an afternoon appointment.

The arrival time I was sent was 3:00, which concerned me given that it was an outside job and this would take him right up to sunset. If the job took longer than 2 hours, he'd be working in the dark or having to return on another day. After discussing the project and material needs with a friend, we decided it was just as easy to do the job ourselves and that's what we did. Given the limited availability and flexibility of this company, I decided not to use them for any other project and I requested a refund of my Big Deal purchase."

"By the time the service rep was contacted and he called us, we had purchased the part and repaired the air conditioner unit ourselves. We had hire the service company to do a complete service on the unit on June 23,2022. I would recommend Freedom Heating and Air to anyone needing service. They were very professional and did a thorough job. They explained what they were doing from beginning to end. We were shown pictures of before and after as they did the work. We will use them again if it becomes necessary."
