"I am severely disappointed with the service I received at Dat-A-Syst. I've been experiencing startup issues (blinking folder) with my 2017 MacBook Pro. Apple referred me to this company, and I brought my laptop in. I clearly stated what the issue was on the online check-in form and over the phone. After one day, I received a call stating that my computer was fixed and ready to be picked up. I go to the store and at pickup I asked what the issue was and the technician seemed confused and explained it as firmware issue and that they reinstalled the os. I asked them if the startup issue was fixed, and they tried to turn my computer on and low and behold here's the blinking folder with a question mark at startup. The issue that I clearly listed on the form! My computer was in fact not fixed. The solution the tech brought up was them mailing my laptop for repair and quoting it as $500-$600 repair (keep in mind this is 3 minutes after they told me my computer was fixed). I asked for my computer back and a refund of the $75 service charge. They declined to refund me as the technician "had spent time" on it. I'd argue that whatever time was spent was worth nothing as they didn't even bother checking to turn my computer on to see if the issue was still present. I don't believe this company performed the bare minimum in regards to fixing my laptop and will be issuing a charge back with my credit card company. Don't bother bringing your mac or anything else here. It will be a waste of time."
