"One year ago I had Attic Air add insulation to the attic and reroute two bathroom exhaust fans.  They did excellent work and I gave them an outstanding review at the time.  I recently experienced an intermittent loud whistling sound from what I believed was the master bath exhaust fan.  I didn?t know who to call, and I took a chance that Attic Air may be able to assist me even if it had nothing to do with the work they previously performed.  Robert Carroll responded immediately and sent his crew the following day to investigate.  Of course there was no noise when they arrived, but they made a small modification to the roof vent thinking that may be the source of the problem.  Two hours after they left the noise returned and I again contacted Robert.  He said he could be at my house at 10:00 am the following day, Saturday.  Saturday morning before he was scheduled to arrive he called and I told him the whistle sound was not present.  He suggested I call him any time, day, evening, Sunday, whenever the noise was present.  About 5:00 p.m. Saturday the whistle sound returned and I called Robert.  He was at my house in 30 minutes and found that the noise was not originating from the attic fan as I believed but rather from the toilet.  I was embarrassed that I misidentified the source, but Robert could not have been more understanding and gracious.  He just said he was happy he could help me.  He went above and beyond what I would have expected and demonstrated an exceptional level of customer service.  The noise was a bad inlet valve
in the toilet that I repaired for $10. My sincere thanks to Robert for his service and understanding.

"I used ARC Insulation to seal holes in my HVAC ductwork, as recommended by an energy audit I had done on my home. I am thrilled with the work Joe, Felipe and Danny did at my house. Joe explained the entire process to me, while the crew blocked off all the vents, tested my system (I had 40% leakage) and then applied the Aeroseal to my ductwork. The sealing brought that figure down to just 3% and that was before Danny caulked the gaps between the vents and the drywall before replacing the grilles. (I can actually hear a difference in the airflow when the heat comes on.) All three guys were professional, knowledgeable, kind, and meticulous in their prep and cleanup. David Puralewski was my contact at ARC and was very responsive to all my questions. I highly recommend ARC Insulation for projects at your home."

"The job went wonderful! It was completed in a little more than a day and my home was left spotless. They even mopped the floor! They went above and behind on each section of the process. We will be using them again for another room in January. We highly recommend them."

"We have a 1920s bungalow with a cinderblock foundation and routine seepage issues.  Interior drain tile was also an option but with a partially finished basement, I think ultimately would have been more expensive after putting walls back together, etc..  And, personally i'd rather stop the water before it enters the house.  I felt as though i was getting the "cookie cutter" solution from the other highly rated angies list waterproofers and they definitely like to nickel and dime on their expensive battery backup systems.  Chuck spent a considerable more time at the house, didn't give us the BS sales presentation with all of the pamphlets, gave us a timely quote, and ultimately just made us feel the most comfortable.
The job went very well and I wouldn't hesitate to use High Tech for additional jobs in the future.  Chuck is very professional and responsive, easy to work with.  It took a while to coordinate with the excavator which is subbed out, but we were in no big rush and everything worked out great.  The job took four days.  We've had some heavy fall rains and not a drop of water in the basement.

"We have had leaky basement walls in multiple locations for the entire 30 years of living in our home. Our basement was poured with Insulated Concrete Forms (ICF) made of Styrofoam. Apparently, it wasn’t a good choice or wasn’t poured properly."

"When we bought this house we were planning to renovate the basement.  The previous owner had represented that it had never taken on water.  The first weekend we were here, however, a torrential rainstorm caused the basement to flood.  We realized we needed to waterproof it before we could do anything else, and decided that drain tiling was the safest way to go.
Greg was phenomenally responsive from the start.  He was very clear about what needed to be done and how they would do it.  He also described some optional work but was explicit that it was optional and if it didn't fit within our budget that was that, and he wasn't going to push it the slightest bit.  His quote blew away the bigger, well-known firm and was less than or on a par with some others.  He also agreed to demo the walls for a slight extra charge, which otherwise would have been a huge convenience for us.  Between then and the start of work I emailed him repeatedly with various questions and he responded almost instantly.  When his workers took down the paneling we got the unpleasant news that we had huge cracks in the walls that would need to be tuckpointed and in one area a big chunk of foundation was jutting from the wall.  That section of the foundation would need to be replaced and a support beam installed.  We were more or less at Greg's mercy at this point -- we weren't going to halt work and bring in a series of guys to quote the tuckpointing & repair -- but Greg gave us an estimate of $2,600-$3,000.  We can't know for sure, but suspect that this price was more than fair, and Greg stuck to it even though we think the work turned out to be more than they expected.
The project manager, Jim, was fantastic to work with throughout, very communicative and accomodating, and the crew of five guys or so was extremely friendly and professional.  All in all, A Perfect Crawlspace was a pleasure to work with and we could not be happier with the results.

"Could not have been better. I interviewed 3 companies and got estimates from all. All of them were listed on Angie's List and also through other "handyman" & "home improvement" websites. I chose DAP & Son because the owner, David, did a lot of things right. He listened. He explained things to me. He showed he knows his business. My town requires a building permit for doing insulation. A lot of towns do not. He had no problem with that (another of the local companies I got an estimate did not want to do that). He took care of it. Note: In my town, you have to be registered with the town and show: Surety Bond and Certificate of Insurance. But each time a building trades company registers with the town, it is OK for them to do business for the next 12 months in the town. The surety bond was important to me. A certificate of insurance protects the tradesman's company. A surety bond protects me - the consumer. David and his team of 2 other men got here early (8:15 a.m.) and were done and gone by 12:30 p.m. They put down tarps, they vacuumed as they went - during and after they were drilling into the walls to blow in the new insulation. They called me over several times during the process so they could show me what they were doing and why. When David needed to check an inside wall from the other side, it meant walking into an adjoining room. He asked my permission to do that. Very respectful. I like that, too! They cleaned everything up, were as nice as they could be, and it looks great. Now I just have to wait for the painters that I am contracted with to come and make it all beautiful. I would recommend David Poole of DAP & Son."
