"I called a number of providers who weren't interested in doing my job because it was too small. I needed insulation only above a garage that I had newly finished. Insulation Pros was not only willing to do the job, but the price was exceptionally fair given the small space that needed to be done. The guys arrived on time, were polite and efficient, worked quickly without making a mess, and did more than I expected. What I mean by that is I had installed some storage and an exhaust fan in the attic area, and they went out of their way to install some baffles and dividers in the attic to keep the insulation from getting blown around too much around my storage space. I hadn't thought about doing that myself nor did I ask them for it and I really appreciate that they took it upon themselves to just take care of it because it was the right thing to do. I wouldn't hesitate to call them again and I would recommend them to anybody.

"We attempted this as a DIY project and soon realized we were in over our heads. We had scrapped the acoustic off the ceilings ourselves and once it came to the skim and sand portion we realized it was way too much of a project for the inexperienced. Not to mention the mess from sanding is unimaginable. We called Ciro and he was prompt to return our call, came out the next day for an estimate and was ready to start work as soon as we were. It took his crew a total of two work days to complete; day 1 they did the skim coat, requiring a couple days of ensure it was completely dry before sanding, and then as scheduled, they came back to finish with the sanding. I don't know how they do it but the sanding mess was not a mess at all and when I returned home the place looked good. I am extremely pleased with the way the ceilings turned out and only wish we didn't attempt it ourselves and hired Ciro in the first place. If you've never skim coated and sanded a ceiling before, I'd highly advise against doing it yourself and suggest you do yourself a huge favor and hire a professional. Ciro and his crew were friendly and professional and kindly took a few extra steps they didn't have to do. They filled in and sanded all the picture holes on several walls we were prepping for paint and also filled in the small gap between the kitchen ceiling and cabinets. I felt that was above and beyond and very much appreciated it. If I have learned anything from this experience, it is that some things are definitely best when left to the professionals! "Outstanding quality, especially in custom designing what is called a cricket flashing to go around a chimney, the corner of the house and a valley which all converged at the same point.
Once the old roof was off, we found approximately $1700 worth of dry rot that needed to be replaced.  I felt the crew, particularly Mike Gibbs, did an excellent job of helping me understand the problems and then pick the best solutions to correct the problems.  Their price for the extra work was extremely fair and the again the quality was excellent.  We ended up replacing all of the fascia boards and the final result looked better than the original (and it was Mike's idea of how to do it).
In addition to the roof, they blew in some additional insulation in my two level attic to bring it up to an R-38 rating.  There were two spots that I felt might have been just a bit short and they returned promptly and filled in those spots by hand ... no questions asked.
For what it might be worth, the building inspector, when I told him the work was done by Brazil, sort of muttered under his breath "Good, they do it right" as he climbed the ladder to look at the roof.

"AHS is ok. They cover repairs of most everything under the roof of your house. The companies that contract with them are not always the best. You call AHS with the issue, they send a fax to the repair company and give you the contact info. If they don't contact you within 24 hours, you call them. Sometimes they answer, sometimes they don't. When they arrive (usually three days or so later), they service the item. if it has issues within the 90 days, you call AHS again, they are sent out with no charge. If the serviceman decides the unit is unrepairable, AHS will allow you to choose a replacement from their listing (usually not as good as what you have) they will install and remove your old item, or give you wholesale amount to buy and install your own. Prices vary on what you want covered and what you want the copay to be, plus where you live. For me it is 49.99 per month with a 75.00 time of service order. You can have more than one item serviced at the same time under the same fee. If you have a SEAR product the repair guys are great. Not that wild about the other ones they send out. But it is a big savings compared to calling someone on your own. The cost of service is only the 75.00 copay."
