Lenny with star construction was one of the handful that did. We had a few quotes that came in cheaper but they weren't honest with the scope of work that would need to be done. This is where Lenny and star construction shined. He came in and told me honestly EVERYTHING that was going to have to be done to get the project up to code. His estimate came in to the penny. He was forthright about having to change electric panel and adding driveway space to meet code. After we signed on with star, Lenny became even more of a "star". He constantly fought with the city on our behalf for the necessary permits. After a lengthy battle he obtained the necessary permits. Vega came in to head the construction aspect and was also a "star". They obtained every necessary inspection and passed each one with flying colors on the first attempt. Everything was completed on time and it was a wonderful experience. I would NOT hesitate to use Star Construction in the future."

"I just went through a kitchen remodel with Billy Shapiro and his team at SBS of South Florida Inc. My 83 year old mother has lived in her condo for over 15 years and always wanted to get it remodeled as it was the original kitchen from when the unit was built in the early 1970s - formica and a cumbersome dropped plexiglass ceiling that was just plain old ugly. She has been saving for it for years, but had a modest budget and we were almost put off on having the work done because either contractors quoted some ridiculous price or didn't want to be bothered with a smaller job. I contacted Billy through Angie's List and he got back with me immediately and set up an appointment to meet me at mom's place to scope out the job. He said he would get back to us within a couple of days - and he did and he quoted her a complete kitchen remodel that was within her budget. He was very helpful in suggesting ways or areas that she could save money. Three weeks later, she has a beautiful kitchen that she has always dreamed of that looks like it costs way beyond modest budget. Billy kept us informed daily, his workers showed up when they were supposed to show up and just as important to me they were so extremely nice and respectful to my 83 year old mother. I would definitely recommend them to friends and family. Glad I found him."
