"My name is Pamela, and at my home **There are no bad days!** That is my motto since having my beautiful, all season room, screened in Florida room and front porch added by BetterLiving Patio and Sunrooms. I have really enjoyed the additional living space that has been provided. I originally found BetterLiving Patio and Sunrooms on another website. I contacted their office and Ray, the owner, picked up the call. The rest was history. My family and I are very pleased with the results and recommend them highly. The staff is great to work with and if there is anything that I have needed, Ray and staff have quickly responded and have taken care of it for me. I love my home and enjoy it even more, there truly are no bad days here! I originally wrote this review in 2015, it is now 2019 and I have added another project and still stand by these words. I remain a very happy customer. Kudos to BetterLiving Patio and Sunrooms."

"Our house is forty years old and it was time to replace the windows.  We had 14 casement windows of various sizes and arrangements (two or three panel), some quite large, as well as a sliding glass door in our bedroom and three large custom trapezoid windows to replace in our living room.   <br /> We got quotes from three places, or tried to.  First competitor had problems returning calls and being flexible with our schedule.  Second competitor had a decent quality product but not as good as Seaway, but for the same price, and the attention to detail when preparing our quote was sloppy, and I feel that reflects on what to expect with the whole job.  That left Seaway.  They were extremely professional throughout the process.  Everyone promptly returned calls, was courteous, and punctual.  Schedule appointments were kept, and always on time.  First visit with salesman was "no pressure" and very informative.  We were able to select the type of window (casement) and chose from a variety of exterior colors to approximate what we already had outside.  The quote was pricey, but after visiting the manufacturing plant during an open house, I felt that we were paying for a quality product, and a local one at that.  And honestly for the amount of material and labor for our job, I think it was very reasonable.  The work was done in about a week.  Clean up was daily and done well.  We did have a large old window break, and I never found one shard of glass.   <br /> Final walk through discovered some issues such as screens that didn't quite fit.  This was was addressed immediately.  We had a couple people out from Seaway to answer some minor concerns in the first few weeks following installation and they were always prompt and happy to help free of charge.   <br /> The new windows are solid construction, look seamless with the house inside and out, not like obvious replacements.  They took a little longer with the custom trapezoid windows but they look outstanding.  There has been a noticeable difference in heat performance already this winter as well.   <br /> Really we have zero regrets.  If you need new windows, don't hesitate to check them out.  The product quality and great customer service is worth it. <br />"

"It went perfectly. I called and spoke to the office immediately. They came out the next day on a Sunday prepared to give an estimate and complete the job. Everything is done. They performed quality work with quality products, very professional, clean-cut, honest, efficient, fair price. We are very happy and highly recommend them."

"First batch of work promised in 6 weeks, took about 5 months. Second batch much more timely. <br /> The door looks very nice.    I actually preferred the "look" of the original windows....we went from nice oak to white vinyl.   They are more efficient in the winter as they are triple pane, but they also don't let any sun warmth in to help heat.   Can't have everything, I suppose. <br /> Although we asked several times,  we couldn't find out how the price broke down, they were so busy talking about discounts.     I would advise you to get some competing quotes.   I feel we could have done better if we had. <br /> The workers who did the installation were very professional and worked quickly. <br /> <br />"

"Mike is a true professional.  He has been doing this kind of work for a number of years and it was obvious he knew his work once he began.  He works with one other employee and both of them were diligent in starting and completing the work.  I built the original wall and it took me about 2 months, and it the end it was a work I would not ever do again by myself, considering the engineering required and the liftng of blocks. <br />"

"Bob and his crew did an outstanding job on all three projects.  The first shed foundation required a lot of front end loading work with the township and Bob helped me navigate the process.   All of the jobs required significant travel for Bob and his crew, but they arrived early everyday and worked long into the evening.  Bob pays attention to the details and does not cut corners.  His rates are competitive and you definitely get what you pay for.  I highly recommend using Rock-A-Fellas for your next foundation or shed project. <br />"

FAQs for sunroom or patio enclosure building service projects in Clarion, PA

A sunroom is a fully enclosed space with walls of windows or glass. It allows you to enjoy the outdoors from the comfort of the indoors, protected from bugs and weather. It functions as an additional room in your home. A covered patio extends your home's roof over an outdoor area, providing shade and shelter while remaining open to the fresh air. It's a great way to enjoy outdoor living while being protected from sun and rain.

Adding screens to your porch is the most budget-friendly way to enclose it. Screening keeps out insects and debris while letting you enjoy the breeze and outdoor ambiance. It's less expensive than installing full walls or glass enclosures and doesn't usually require permits, making it an efficient way to upgrade your porch.

If you're transforming your porch into a fully enclosed living space like a sunroom, you'll likely need a sturdy foundation, such as a reinforced concrete slab, to support the structure. For a simple screened-in porch, you might be able to use the existing floor and support posts without additional foundation work. It's best to consult a professional to determine what's needed for your project.

An enclosed porch can be considered a living space if it's fully enclosed with solid walls and windows, has a proper roof, and includes heating and cooling systems. It should also have direct access from inside your home. When these criteria are met, the space becomes an extension of your home's livable area.
