"The home inspection went OK. It's after I moved in that's problematic. First on the positive side the inspector identified a defective gas water heater that had to be replaced. There was a cracked concrete patio at the basement level. I asked the inspector if that was a problem. He said no. I am in the process now of getting estimates. A costly "no." The cracked patio is slanted toward the house and letting water in. He did not detect mold in the utility room. He identified some electrical work that needed to be done and gave an estimate of $1000. I received a sellers credit. Two estimates of the work are approx $2,500."
