"This started with a persistently dripping bathroom faucet. The faucet was probably original to my mid-1960s ranch house. As long as I was calling a plumber in, I also wanted a dripping toilet (it was leaking around the handle used when flushing) repaired. I was pleased that a plumber was available the same day I contacted True Blue even though these repairs were certainly not an emergency. Anthony R., the plumber, came as scheduled late that afternoon. He was very competent and professional. He replaced the bathroom faucet with a modern new faucet because it really did need to be replaced. (My original faucet was so old that the metal at the base seemed to be peeling/twisted up--it was one of those faucets with the handles looked like plastic jewel knobs.) I examined the new faucet prior to it being installed and can verify its quality and heaviness. The new faucet has an arched neck where the water comes out and gives some height between the water coming out and the bathroom sink that wasn't there before. When turning off the water to the house, Anthony recommended replacing that on/off valve as well as a piece above that which regulates water pressure to the house. I'm sure both of these were also original to the house. The on/off valve was really corroded and I turned it gingerly when I had to turn the water off/on. As far as the water pressure goes, the Kansas City Water Department has been doing a lot of work in my neighborhood and will probably continue to do so and may at some point in time actually work on my street. To defend my house against the water pressure changes this can cause, I thought this change was also needed. I'm not sure I quite understand how it works, but apparently the water pressure had something to do with the toilet leaking. Be that as it may, I haven't had any problems with the toilet since the changes were made although the toilet was also worked on. These repairs were quickly done and did not involve a lot of time. I think this was a good value even though what was basically a leaky faucet expanded to replacing a water pressure device and the house on/off valve and cost about $1200. (I lived in another house where the house on/off valve had a box dropped on it which broke it, causing a major flood as water poured out. That's destructive so that's why I appreciate Anthony being proactive and making the recommendations he did as well as being able to complete it during this visit.)"

"We hired Sissi company to first remove mold from our roof shaded by a big tree. Lewis did a great job and sprayed chlorine in the end to kill the mold that were hard to remove. We then hired him to paint our outside wooden wall. Lewis painted quite carefully and respected and accommodated our requests. After this work done, he did basement waterproofing project for us as well. It saved our basement from flooding during this winter. In the end, Lewis also fixed our water sink sewage pipe and several lights in the house. Lewis is also a very friendly guy and he charged reasonably. I strongly recommend him."

"Person arrived very much later than expected and I didn't feel respected by him. Was told the weather needed to be warmer for the repair to be done. Understandable as it was extremely cold. Also said I needed a cover on the bricks at the top of the chimney walls. However I don't know that I will have them come do the work as I didn't get a very good "feeling" about the person giving the estimate. Also, $500. seemed a bit steep. I haven't had the work done yet, so am still debating whether to have this company do the actual work."

"B&W Complete Home Services (Ben and Ian) were on time, professional, knowledgeable, and fair. They are two personable, jolly, and good-natured men. I was actually so floored by how good of a job they did for such a great price that I gave them a tip. Ben and Ian diagnosed the problem (a broken seal and rusted pipe) and were able to replace these parts within two hours. While they were here, they even unclogged a slow-moving sink for me! Ben and Ian are two honest, talented, experienced contractors and I will be using B&W Complete Home Services for all of my home-repair needs in Kansas City for as long as I live here. "We had gotten other estimates, one very low, and one very high.  Both told us we needed to replace the old clay pipes 10 feet out from the house and beneath the house.  After they left, we tried to get back in touch with them to see how they knew to go just 10 feet out and why with the original pipe from 1941 would we not replace it all while we were digging up the yard.  Neither returned our call.  Both left estimates without any details except that if we wanted a camera inspection it would cost $250.  I did not feel good about this so signed up for A.List and examined all.  Chose this company.  They came out to give an est. and the first thing he did was to bring a camera from the truck and put it through the pipe.  He had a screen for us to look at.  It was quite clear and showed so much damage to the pipes way beyond 10 feet.  It definitely needed replacing all the way to the hook up.  Their est. was detailed and fair.  We knew exactly what we were paying for down to the lime he had to put in the crawl space where a leak was.  He explained it all.
We felt confident after the est. that he would do what needed to be done, be fair and because of the leak, he worked us in within the week.  After the job, our yard was returned to as normal as possible and we were very pleased.  I would definitely call this company and recommend them without hesitation.

His designer helped me turn my ideas into real world structures. The materials they used and the workmanship of their installation is first class. They are a little more expensive than some but they can do all the things you want them to and do them correctly. We are very pleased with their work.
