"Terry, the owner of Accu Air made a good impression when we first met.  He is very enthusiastic and knowledgeable about his work. He arrived at the agreed upon time and produced an itemized estimate within just a few days. Terry and his crew completed the work sooner than projected. When we met to go over the new equipment, again he was very prompt.  He took the time to explain everything very thoroughly and welcomed questions.  <br /> A verysatisfying experience and we highly recommend Accu Air Heating in Clare. <br />"

"Ron was awesome!! He came out to the house, used the closest door so he wouldn't walk through the entire house with his tools and shoes, apologized for the noise beforehand and warned us when it was going to get loud... Then when the appliances came and we could not get the gas working, he came out within about an hour of me calling him and fixed the line (unforeseeable problem, nothing he did... there was some sort of nest in the gas line!!! eek!)He got it up and running that day with no additional charge... Thanks Ron!!! :)"

"Our 25 yr old furnace needed to be replaced with a more energy efficient model, the pilot light would not stay lit, and we had replaced the thermocouple several times. We had heard about this company from neighbors. Winter weather was approaching so we called to schedule a home call. The owners of the company came out personally to estimate the repair or replacement of the unit. it was determined that replacement would be the more cost effective and safest option. The unit was ordered with a delivery and installation date set. The company delivered on their promised date, installed the new unit, ran new gas lines and had totally hooked up the new furnace/air conditioner unit in less time than estimated. They left everything neat, clean and tidy."

"The whole process of quoting, sales presentation, finance arrangement, installation was simple, timely, professional, complete and painless. The price was very competitive, the installation was smooth and prompt, and the end product is thing of beauty. This review is from a homeowner who has had a couple of terrible furnace experiences in the past decade."

FAQs for gas piping projects in Clifford, MI

Plumbers with proper licensing and credentials install and relocate gas lines. When hiring a professional, verify they have experience with gas systems and all required certifications. Some homeowners choose to work with plumbers specializing in natural gas installations, as they have extensive experience with similar projects and understand the safety requirements.

The timeline for gas line relocation varies based on project complexity, permit processing, and inspection scheduling. The physical labor takes a few hours to one day, depending on the line length. However, the actual installation work represents only part of the overall project timeline. Your contractor should provide a specific timeframe based on your circumstances and local permitting requirements.

Your gas supply must be shut off during the relocation process. This safety measure prevents gas leaks while connections are being modified. Plan for this temporary service interruption by making alternative arrangements for cooking, heating, or other gas-dependent systems in your home. The shut-off generally only lasts for a portion of the work, often a few hours.

Relocating gas lines to connect new appliances is a common reason for this type of project. Whether you're installing a gas stove, fireplace, dryer, or outdoor grill, a professional can determine the best route for extending your existing gas system. The cost will depend on the distance between your current gas line and the new appliance location.

Gas line work is not suitable for DIY projects. Natural gas is highly flammable and potentially lethal if not handled correctly. Gas leaks can be difficult to detect without specialized equipment. Professional plumbers have the proper training, tools, and experience to safely relocate gas lines while ensuring compliance with local building codes and safety standards.
