"Dwight was wonderful. I placed my request for a champion garage opener pro on a Wednesday night . Thursday morning he responded. I told him that the actual garage machine was already mounted , but the sensor and the door opening components were not installed. He said that was not problem and he quoted me a very low price — he beat out his competitors. He told me that he was in my area and could be at my house in 30 minutes. He came and got to the job right away. He even found a part to my system that I thought was lost. He is a professional man . If you want honesty and good service. He is the garage door / opener installer ."

"Mr. Hoskins made contact with me via email to set up a date/time for the work to be performed within just a couple days of my purchasing the $99 deal. As I had yet to decide exactly what work I would have him perform I emailed him back to advise him of that. When I decided to have the halogen track lighting in our kitchen replaced with cooler and more efficient CFL lighting, I purchased the new fixtures and contacted Mr. Hoskins to set up our appointment. He was very easy to work with and was available at a time that was very convenient for me to be home and advised me he and his assistant would be at my house no later than 8:30 of the appointed morning.
On the day the work was to be performed, Mr. Hoskins and his assistant arrived at my home well before 8:30 ready to get to work. He asked what they would be doing, I showed them the light fixtures to be replaced, and they commenced their tasks. Both Mr. Hoskins and his assistant were pleasant to speak with and very personable.
Approximately an hour and a half later all 3 of my kitchen light fixtures, two 19" flush mount ceiling fixtures for the main lighting and one pendant light over the sink, were installed and checked for proper operation and I was asked if I was satisfied with the results. Gold stars! They gathered their tools, cleaned up the area of the packaging from the new light fixtures, and bid me good day.
I will not hesitate to contact Mr. Hoskins again when I'm wanting things done around the house that my husband claims to not have the time or expertise for.

FAQs for garage door opener installation and replacement projects in Clinton, NC

A chain-drive opener costs less, but it’s louder and needs more upkeep. If your budget allows, a belt-drive model is often the smarter long-term buy, especially for an attached garage with a bedroom above where noise matters. The decision between a chain or belt opener comes down to your budget and needs, and your garage door opener installer can help you choose an option that best suits you.

Choosing the right horsepower for your garage door opener is crucial for safe and efficient performance. Your garage door’s design and material determine the required horsepower. A single-car garage demands a half horsepower rating, while a two-car garage requires a rating between three-fourths and 1.25 horsepower. Selecting the proper power level ensures optimum performance and durability over the life of the opener.

Plan on a quick garage door tune-up once or twice a year. Tighten the chain or belt, lubricate moving parts, test the safety sensors, and swap out weak batteries in the remotes or backup unit. A few dollars in lubricant and 30 minutes of work can fend off costly repairs, keep the door running smoothly, and help the opener hit its full life expectancy.
