"Alvin was careful to explain prior to starting work that if he required extra supplies, etc it would be on top of the Angie's price. Also, that there was the possibility that it would not be a simple replacement. I expected that. The replacement turned out to be more complicated than I'd anticipated.
The plumbing pipes for hose bibbs are installed between the vertical studs. There is supposed to be a horizontal cross brace that secures the "inside" part of the bibb  with 2 screws into the wood. Turns out, when the house was built in 1997, no cross bracing was added inside the wall, so the unsupported pipe had been shifting each time we turned the faucet on or off for the past 17 years. So, when he went to remove the outside portion, instead of "unthreading" as it should have,  the copper pipe broke off at the joint inside the wall. In order to complete the repair, Alvin needed to make an access port on the interior wall. He very carefully sawed an 8x8" piece out of the drywall, added a wood cross brace to the existing framing, secured the plumbing pipe to it, then attached the new hose bibb on the outside. After completing the repair, he carefully re-fitted the piece to the wall and used some caulk I had to cover the seam.
We were charged only for the difference in supplies, not for the additional time involved, which I was grateful for. I was also relieved that we had decided to have this done. I hate to think about some day going out to turn the hose on or off and have a fountain inside the wall.

"It took a while for Samson Heating and Plumbing to locate the problem on our cooler, but they did find it. John and his son came to our house and looked at our cooler, which wasn't working. He installed a new motor. The cooler worked great for about a week. Then, boom, it went down again. John came back out to the house and checked the cooler again. It was the motor again. He fixed it and it went out again. He found the problem and called an electrician that works with him and John came out with the electrician. The wiring was bad. All-in-all, the problem has been fixed and the cooler is working great."

"Kevin, the owner of KSM, is a good guy to work with. It's obvious he has a lot of experience and is able to think on his feet. He removed a marble tile from our wall and installed new valves. It was a tight workspace and took several hours to get everything where it needed to be. I was able to find some matching marble tile here in town and they cut that to fit the new fixtures. He also spent several hours removing some old moldy caulk from around the perimeter of the tub and redoing it. Very labor intensive but it ended up looking nice. It wasn't cheap but plumbers rarely are. I wouldn't hesitate to use him again.
