"Bob Reule and his staff worked with me throughout the entire process, While I knew that the house needed new stucco and the color needed updating I was not certain of much else.  Bob and Jay, one of his staff, were extremely helpful and patient in helping me with color choices for the stucco and the trim.  As so often happens with older homes, as they progressed with the prep work, it became apparent that some other things also needed attention.  I ended up replacing three exterior doors in the back of the house prior to the re-stuccoing. As a result, the Reule staff had to coordinate their work with additional workmen. It required adjustments in scheduling, but they were very cooperative in doing so. Reule did the re-framing and installation of a new side side door in the garage, replacing an old weathered door.
A large bush had caused a great deal of damage to a yard wall. This caused misalignment of the side-gate and made securing of the gate difficult. Once the bush was removed, the men repaired the side wall and realigned the gate. The yard walls, bordering the front yard, were waist high and stucco. Due to time and weathering the stucco was in need of some cosmetic work.  Minor repairs were done, the stucco was patched and color match the house.
A stucco half wall, serving as a base for a long flower box, extended from a structural pillar near the front door along the entryway walk.  It had severe water damage and "imploded" down into the base. It was decided to remove that structure up to the pillar.
The structural pillar was just a few feet from the front door and had an open level portion under the eve.  Pigeons had begun to roost there and were making a mess.  After discussing the problem with the workmen, it was decided to extend the stucco up an additional few inches and eliminating the perching area. Problem solved (so far!).
The paint mixture designed to match the stucco color, turned out to not be an exact match for the garage doors and the trim around them.  It took a few attempts, but Jay kept working with it and was able to come up with a paint "recipe" that matched the stucco.
Jay and the workmen were always on time, did what they said that they would do (sometimes more) when they said they would do it, stayed on schedule, were courteous, easy to work with and very helpful. Bob stopped by intermittently to see how things were going, and was kept updated through Jay, as well.
While this ended up as a much bigger undertaking than I had initially anticipated, everything that was done was long overdue and with an eye on resale one day. Everyone I dealt with at Ruele Sun Corp was incredibly helpful. Bob and Jay were a terrific help throughout the process.I love how my house now  looks and would readily recommend Ruele Sun Corp for re-stuccoing.

"Aside from the delay in making an appointment, everything went smoothly.  He arrived exactly on time and cleaned up afterwards. One edge of the drywall did  not hit the stud so he worked with  a leftover piece of wood  I had  to fix that problem.  All other materials were provided by them.  The gap on the adjoining wall (between the wall and the garage door) was also covered.  Overall I was very pleased with the work.

"Excellent work. We purchased natural cherry cabinets in shaker style, with the panels made of solid wood rather than veneer. That is more difficult work, as each panel has to be constructed from several planks. Moreover, the clear finish would leave any flaws more visible. Simply put, the doors are beautiful--flawless in both construction and finish. They are similar in quality to custom cherry furniture we own."

"I contacted the company and had a list of what needed to done. I knew the cost was $45 an hour, and I estimated the work could be finished in 1 or 2 hours at a maximum. The company sent two workers, instead of just one. I didn't expect at all. I didn't hear that I'd need two people, especially since I gave the list of what needed to be done. They was supposed to be here at 1pm, and the boss called to say they were running behind. He said they would arrive between 2-3pm. They called at 3:07pm to say they were lost, and and arrived at 3:20pm. When he presented the bill, they said that they arrived at 3pm, but they did not. They arrived at 3:20. After two hours, the men left, and claimed that all the work was done. All of the work on the list, including the pantry door, were supposedly fixed. Later that night, I went to slide the door and it didn't work. When they gave the receipt it said I owed $192.60. He said to me, it was $45 dollars an hour, but it was for two guys, for two hours each. This is very frustrating. When I called the owner, and explained the work, I didn't hear that he was going to send two people. He insisted that it had to be two guys, and they both have to paid equally. The job was done, but it was not done well. The pantry door still isn't sliding very well. Can't open it with out damaged the top of the door. i was trusting that it would be fine, but it's not. When you're working with a company or purchasing offers on Angie's List you need to know how many people are coming and what the price is per person. You want to be very clear with what your getting. For instance, I didn't hear that it was $45 per person, per hour. I didn't hear him when he said he would be sending two men."

"Mike is fantastic! I went with him based on reviews - the reviews don’t lie! Mike is very professional, trustworthy, honest, efficient, and went above and beyond for us today. Fixed a leaking sink drain, no problem; put a new sliding closet door track and hanging hardware on the doors, no problem. But, when I detected another possible problem, he went above and beyond to inspect the issue and offered to help fix it! He also does painting, so yeah, we’re having him back!!! Look no further for your handyman and carpenter needs! Thanks Mike!"

"We had an existing deck/patio cover that was about 13 years old.  It was constructed of wood with the deck railing anchored through the existing roof.  Over time this allowed seepage of water from rain/snow through the existing roofing into the ceiling (drywall) of the patio. We contacted four potential contractors through Angies List and got two estimates for the work. One of the individuals that did not submit an estimate stated over the telephone that he would probably not have the ability to complete the project since he was a one man operation, however he did come out to look at the project and provided assurance that the existing structure would be able to be used in the renovation. One individual wanted to completely remove the existing structure and start over stating that the patio/deck was rotted and unstable.  Both of the remaining individuals, including Phil York, felt that the existing structure was sound and could be incorporated into the project.  Of the two bids received Phil had the best price by far and the decision was made to allow him to proceed. We can say here that Phil is a somewhat informal person and did not provide a written proposal.  He did provide a verbal estimate that broke out the cost of materials and labor.  He requested that I pay his material supplier (a major home improvement store) directly in order to get started since some of the material had to be special ordered.  The original delivery date was about three to four weeks and work was to begin the week after all material was received. Phil had a break in his schedule after about two weeks and called to see if he could start early. The reasoning for this was that the special ordered material was for the deck and he could start on the other renovation since the deck would be the last step in the project. We agreed to this change and he started work on or about 11/9/2011. The weather cooperated perfectly and the deconstruction of the existing ceiling proceeded.  As suspected the hidden material was in solid condition and no alteration of the existing deck floori/patio roof was needed.  The work continued throughout that and the following week with the reroofing of the patio cover, painting of existing support structure and starting the floating deck floor. Towards the end of the week Phil had to inform us that the special order material was going to be delayed an additional week which meant that the project was now going to last past Thanksgiving. With the delay of the material not much could be accomplished Thanksgiving week or the following week. Phil finally notified us about the 1st of December that the delayed material was due at the beginning of the next week and he would get back with me to let me know when he could finish the project. We do want to state that Phil was in no way responsible for this delay. In fact, since we had paid for the material directly we even called the supplier to express our disappointment and exasperation for the situation they had put Phil in. The special order material did finally arrive about 12/5/2011 and Phil got the railing installed that week. We are very pleased with the way this project came together and are already talking with Phil about some additional work we need done inside the house. All we need now is some warm weather to start enjoying the new cover and fan on the patio."

"Easy and speedy service. No complaints. I provided fan, they installed in already wired outlet in ceiling. There was a little difficulty with bracket in ceiling matching with new fan. They figured it out pretty quickly and solved with some extra parts they had in their truck - always a plus when contractors can think on their feet AND have extra parts in the truck :)) Fan working and looking great.

"AHS is ok. They cover repairs of most everything under the roof of your house. The companies that contract with them are not always the best. You call AHS with the issue, they send a fax to the repair company and give you the contact info. If they don't contact you within 24 hours, you call them. Sometimes they answer, sometimes they don't. When they arrive (usually three days or so later), they service the item. if it has issues within the 90 days, you call AHS again, they are sent out with no charge. If the serviceman decides the unit is unrepairable, AHS will allow you to choose a replacement from their listing (usually not as good as what you have) they will install and remove your old item, or give you wholesale amount to buy and install your own. Prices vary on what you want covered and what you want the copay to be, plus where you live. For me it is 49.99 per month with a 75.00 time of service order. You can have more than one item serviced at the same time under the same fee. If you have a SEAR product the repair guys are great. Not that wild about the other ones they send out. But it is a big savings compared to calling someone on your own. The cost of service is only the 75.00 copay."

FAQs for storm door installation projects in Cochiti Lake, NM

For mobile homes, look for a lightweight storm door designed specifically for manufactured housing. A slimmer frame eases installation and reduces added stress on the doorway, while removable glass or screen panels allow you to switch between airflow and complete protection in minutes. The result is solid weather defense without unnecessary weight and a door that remains easy to operate season after season.

A well-installed and well-maintained storm door can add modest value by improving curb appeal, increasing security, and reducing energy loss. If the door is faded, dented, or hanging loosely, those benefits disappear—and may even harm first impressions. Professional installation ensures the door seal is correctly aligned and keeps the hardware in place, allowing the upgrade to deliver both visual and practical benefits that buyers notice.

Most storm doors last 25 years, and high-end models, when properly cared for, can reach 50 years. Lifespan depends on the frame material, glass quality, and the amount of punishment the door receives from wind, rain, or sun. Regular cleaning, fresh weatherstripping, and prompt repairs keep hinges tight and glass secure, helping the door reach its maximum lifespan.

Allow three to five hours to set a standard pre-hung storm door if the opening is in good condition. If you need to widen the frame or repair wood rot, expect the job to take a whole day to complete. A seasoned installer can complete the job faster and ensure the door sits square, seals tightly, and operates smoothly, saving time that often outweighs the DIY time commitment.

Most single exterior doorways can accommodate a storm door, provided the frame dimensions match those of the new unit. Patio and sliding glass doors are the main exceptions because their tracks won’t support the extra door. If you’re unsure about clearances or hinge placement, consider bringing in a door installer to measure the opening and recommend any necessary adjustments for a secure fit.
