"Jeff was really good to work with. He was very helpful in the redesign of features of my very old bathroom. He was very good about consulting me with changes in the job that he would recommend or that were necessary. He always listened to my wishes and comments and followed through with them if adjustments to the job were needed. He worked closely with me and is very personable. I am pleased with the remodel. I recommend Jeff and his business to anyone wanting a reliable contractor who delivers on what he promises."

"From the start of our job Stoya was professional, made excellent recommendations, showed up when she said she would and was a extremely diligent worker.  She is a perfectionist and accomplished her tasks in a timely manner.  She's understanding of the stress involved with remodeling and is a careful listener. The best contractor I have ever had in my home.  I purchased some materials with her direction. She also had dead trees removed and hauled away all debris for $1800 which included seven cedars and one giant birch tree. Excellent company. <br />"

"Trickett Woodworks built us an awesome built-in bookcase and cabinets for our living room which are good quality and made the room much nicer and more functional. Trickett was really responsive to all my questions via phone calls and emails, and we actually got lucky with scheduling and had the project installed a couple weeks earlier than expected. I would definitely hire them again for any other carpentry/furniture projects."

"We heard of Tom Miller Construction company from an ad on our favorite classical music radio station. We sent an e-mail and promply <br /> got a call back. His company provided a wonderful architect who drew up the plans for our kitchen remodel and new family room. <br /> They began the project as scheduled, got all the permits and we just watched the progress. Tom Miller personally helped us pick out the <br /> cabinets, the granite and the floor coverings. All work was finished in the promised 16 weeks. We are very satisfied with the project and <br /> are enjoying showing it off to family and friends."

"He has done a lot of work for me over the past couple years. He takes an idea and makes it work. He is very creative and interactive. He will do his best to make it look the way you want it to look. Also he is very good about getting the permits for the work. He is straightforward about his charge too. He charges an hourly rate. He leaves his work site completely clean at the end of the day. He is careful around the furniture and makes sure nothing is left a mess. He is very interesting and knowledgeable."

"They did a real good job. They were real professional. We can now open the garage door from the inside of the house and now it is so smooth that we have to check to see if we hit the button to open it or close it.  Before we used to know when it was opening or closing because it used to make a noise. It helps when you move to a city where you are new. "

FAQs for major home repair (general contractor) projects in Colfax, WA

In many cases, it’s much less expensive to convert a bus than to buy an RV, especially if you’re considering a newer RV model, which can exceed $100,000.

Another huge benefit of school bus conversion is that you are in control of the renovation project. You get to pick your camper's new layout and all the appliances and furniture.

While school buses can easily cost $300,000 when they're new, you can often find used buses for just a few thousand dollars. These vehicles experience extreme depreciation due to government regulations; they can only be used for so long before they must be replaced. Due to those same regulations, other government agencies cannot purchase them for their own uses, so the consumer market is the only place they can go.

The length of time it takes to convert a bus depends on the scope of the project (and size of the bus), how much work is DIY vs. done by a professional contractor, and how much work you’re doing up front.

In general, expect at least a couple of months for a conversion, but larger conversions could take six months to a year. Remember: You can tackle projects as you go: Get the basic work done so that it’s livable, and then continue to enhance your living space over time.
