"I purchased a new shower faucet and cartridge for the repair. Donny told my wife and I to save on the new faucet and wait till we did some wall/tile repair if we were to remodel in the near future. Rather than following our first wishes he may have saved us around $400, or more by being honest and a good guy. We had the cartridge replaced for our Moen faucet. It operates very well and no drips (bad for the Cat though!). We had additional savings when we returned the faucet to Menards. The cartridge was about $36-$39. We have used Randy Lane several times (maybe 5-7 times) and were quite satisfied. They have been our plumber of choice for several years. This was our first plumbing work completed by Donny. Not our last for sure!"

They went above and beyond by coordinating the installation of several appliances at one time even though the company we purchased from said we couldn't do that. Michelle, the office manager, was wonderfully helpful in the coordination of everything, and their installers, Oakly and Jordan, did an amazing job of installing all the appliances and took the time to explain the operation to us. "We had replacement windows installed recently and needed the windows and trim stained and finished.  Since we both work fulltime, we decided to use Angie's list, plus the clock was ticking on getting the work done before the weather got cold.  Additionally, we needed a faucet replaced in our main bathroom.  A handyman service looked to be our best option.  After going through the list of possibilities, we chose House Doctors because of their good reviews and proximity to where we live.  
I contacted them via an online form and waited for a response.  It did not happen as quickly as I hoped, so I then emailed the same information and heard back promptly.  I wanted to arrange a time for an estimate rather quickly, but this also did not happen quite the way I had hoped.  Eventually, an estimator came by and, to my great relief, he was friendly, helpful and knowledgeable.  The person who did our work was very professional and thorough.  His attention to detail was outstanding, both the window trim and faucet turned out very well.  He also cleaned up the areas that he worked in to our satisfaction.  Other than a few problems initially with contacting and getting the estimate, this was a wonderful experience.  We recommend House Doctors for similar jobs of this type.

"Replacing the staircase light fixture was a difficult job requiring the use of a ladder, a step ladder and an aluminum plank to create a level workspace in order to access the light. The new pendant was lowered by 6 inches, compared to the old one, to allow easy exchange of light bulbs. The electrician was creative in solving some installation problems.  He also saved me some money by advising me that some other electrical work I was considering might not be necessary."
