"I met Blake at my job, we got to talking about my house, and he offered to come out and give me a free inspection. He came out as soon as I was off the next day and informed me of a lot of little bits of damage I hadn't previously noticed, and immediately helped me sign up and get my claim started. Blake met with the adjuster, went over my damage, and got my insurance to replace my entire friggin' roof. Roofmasters also came through and replaced all my gutters, down spouts, and my garage door. I didn't have to pay a dime outside of my deductible. Blake mediated between myself and the office to make all this pretty much effortless on my part. Pretty dang positive experience with Roofmasters overall."

"We were unsure of the the amount of damage that was done so they made us a worst case estimate, after they started the job Rick was able to save us a lot of money and the damage was not near as bad as expected. The quality of work was good and done in a timely manner. They also replaced our roof and did a excellent job!!"

"Signed up for a $99 special to have Roca come out and repair a leak in my roof.  Blake told me that I should contact my insurance because he felt I needed a new roof.  I had submitted a claim less than a year prior which was denied of a new roof.  Blake helped me with the insurance process and meeting the adjuster to go over everything he felt I needed replaced.  With the claim, I was able to make all the repairs and add the guttering around the entire house for a little amount out of pocket (much less than my deductible).  I highly recommend Roca roofing and working with Blake if possible.  He is very professional and courteous and had my best interest in mind.  His crew was in and out and finished the entire roof in 1 day.  Very satisfied with the whole experience.

FAQs for metal roofing installation and replacement projects in Columbus, KS

Copper roofs can last 100 years or more, so you’re likely never to need another replacement. Regular maintenance, including annual inspections and occasional cleaning, keeps them in top shape. Work with a licensed roofer for any repairs or inspections to be sure the roof stays watertight and performs as expected.

Cleaning a copper roof averages $460, sealing costs an average of $3 per square foot, and broader repairs cost an average of $6,500.While those figures may seem steep compared to simple maintenance, they’re still far less than the cost of a complete replacement. Staying on top of annual cleanings and quick fixes helps keep costs down and allows the roof to reach its 100-year lifespan.

That green hue is a natural patina that forms as copper reacts with air and moisture. In coastal areas, it can appear in five to seven years; in dry regions, it may take up to 14. The patina shields the copper, so letting it develop is perfectly fine. If you prefer the shiny look, you can have a pro apply a clear sealant and recoat it as needed.

You can paint a copper roof, but it will block the natural patina and may shorten the roof’s lifespan. Once paint goes on, future upkeep becomes more involved—you’ll need to scrape and repaint every few years. Most homeowners skip painting and opt for cleaning or a clear sealant to keep the copper looking its best.

Copper holds up well in nearly every climate. In a humid region, it naturally resists fungus, moss, and algae. In snowy or windy areas, it sheds precipitation and stays firmly in place, as long as it’s installed with room to expand and contract. That flexibility helps the roof stay leak-free through temperature swings and harsh weather year after year.
