MKD Kitchen and Bath (MKD) is a leading provider of kitchen and bathroom remodeling services in the Midwest, catering to both residential and commercial customers throughout Michigan. With over 74 years of experience, MKD is a second-generation family-owned and operated business that specializes in offering a range of remodeling services, including new cabinetry, countertops, cabinet refacing, outdoor kitchens, and installation services.
"We had new countertops and a sink installed in April 2024 through Costco, with MKD handling the installation. We paid over $6,500 for the job. Just 14 months later, we walked into our kitchen to find the sink had completely fallen?due to failed adhesive and the fact that MKD never used the mounting clips that came with the sink. I contacted MKD and sent photos as requested. Days went by with no response. When I followed up, they admitted they had ?overlooked? the photos and promised to call back that afternoon. They never did. After another follow-up, they informed me the installation was only covered under a one-year warranty and that I would need to pay a $500 service fee just to have the sink reattached. Our sink is now literally being held up by 2x4s. This issue could have been avoided with proper installation and could easily be resolved with a quick visit but MKD refuses to take responsibility. "The company responding QUICKLY to my call for a painter, and gave me a quote almost immediately. They were super accommodating even though I needed my painting done that very next Monday. The owner was friendly on the phone, and set up for the job was effortless. For the work, it was perfect. They got exactly the right colors, and even went to a different store to get exactly the color we wanted for our daughter's bedroom, even though it wasn't the paint retailer they usually use. It was four rooms in one day, and there wasn't a drip in sight. Even the edges were crisp and clean. We had a MINOR touch up that we noticed during our inspection, and the woman there addressed it immediately.
