The subcontractors managed by The Village Builder were professional, on time, and did beautiful work. They even cleaned up after themselves at the end of each day. Peter managed the construction schedule to keep everything moving forward efficiently. If a delay was encountered it was communicated as early as possible. The Village Builder simply did what they said, when they said, and did not go over budget. We are super happy with our new kitchen and plan on working with The Village Builder on our next remodel. "The project was scheduled for 3 weeks and it took nine. Yes, there were some challenges due to COVID, but mainly due to the company starting other jobs and not having time to finish our project. Lack of communication resulted in lots of changes to the plan without any communication. The price went from 19k to 27k with all the upgrades we wanted, yet they were not done. We asked for a new itemization and we were told the numbers were wrong and they actually are eating $500. Lots of promises without any follow-through. one contractor came most of the time after working another job and showed up at 2 or 3 PM and many times did not show up at all without any communication. They were friendly and could do an excellent job if they had more management and timed things appropriately."
