"I thought they were professional and nice, but they tried to repair my same appliance three times and it still didn't work. They were telling me one thing, but were telling my home warranty company something different. When I requested all three of us get on the phone to clarify the misunderstanding, Repair Tech Plus declined. As a result, I have to schedule another company to come out and start all over again with the assessment. This should have already been closed out so I could order a new appliance."

"Well done. We have used Baker's for many jobs over the years. They do well on HVAC and routine electrical jobs, but not on complicated or high level electrical jobs."

"Making the appointment was easy, but the first available is almost a week later. I have no refrigerator and I still need to wait 5 days for Craig to come to the house. Craig shows up, asks some questions and determines the problem without any real investigation or taking anything apart. The parts and labor will cost $339.20, which I need to pay for in advance. He tells me that he has 3 more calls near my area tomorrow, so he expects to be back the next day to fix the issue. The next day come and goes and no Craig, and no call from the shop scheduler so I call them. Evidently, according to the scheduler, Craig never informed her for the need to schedule my repair. So, I need to wait until the following afternoon to get the repair I have already paid for completed. Craig calls and says that he will be at my house in 30 minutes and shows up an hour and a half later. It takes him about 7 minutes to take out 2 screws and disconnect 3 plugs and install a new circuit board To fix my problem. He has been inside my house for less than 15 minutes and the parts and labor has cost me $339.20. To make a longer story shorter, the part fails after 4 days and my refrigerator and freezer and back to 55 and 64 degrees. Luckily they have a 5 year warranty on all work they do. I call the company back and tell me that Craig will be back out in 2 days. Those two days go by and Craig calls me, but doesn't come by. He tells me that it must be the circuit board (that he installed and cost me $339.20) that is faulty and needs to be replaced again. He says that he will get the part reordered and be back by to fix it the next day. So far that was 2 days ago and no one has called to confirm any scheduled repair or service. My refrigerator is still not fixed and I've already paid for it. I'm being way to generous with 2 stars!"

"Technician came to the house and analyzed the problem. It was determined that the cost of repair was over the allowable Choice Home Warranty limit and it should be replaced. Choice Home Warranty issued their replacement cost. This cost was unacceptable and I challenged their figure. After some negotiation I was offered an increased settlement amount. I still balked at their offer but I was told to take it or repair my old microwave. I finally accepted their amount, even though it is still well below what it will cost me to replace the unit. I might add that the existing microwave has the convection feature and I want to replace with same features. The cost that I will receive also does not include any removal, disposal or installation costs. At this time I am debating whether I will continue with Choice Home Warranty or consider other options."

"MY AIR CONDITIONING STOPPED WORKING AND I WENT ONLINE AND GOOGLED FOR
HVAC SERVICE COMPANIES ON THE AREA, I CALLED A FEW COMPANIES THAT COULD
NOT COME SAME DAY, THEY HAD SPACE AVAILABLE 3 TO 5 DAYS LATER, I KEPT
CALLING AND WHEN I CALLED HOME APPLIANCE REPAIR HEATING AND COOLING THEY
SCHEDULE ME RIGHT AWAY, THEY HAD A TECH WORKING ON THE AREA AND THEY
SEND HIM WITHING 2 HOURS, THE TECHNICIAND DIAGNOSED THE CAPASITOR AND
THE CONTACTOR TO BE DEFFECTIVE, HE EXPLAINED TO ME THE CHARGES AND I
AGREED TO THE PRICE HE INSTALLED THE PARTS AND TESTE THE UNIT FOR
PROPPER REFRIGERANT CHARGE, EVERYTHING WAS UP TO PERFORMANCE AND MY
HOUSE STARTED TO COOL, THEY DID A GOOD JOB AND IT WAS DONE THE SAME DAY,
I WILL CALL THEM EVERYTIME IF I NEED SERVICE ON MY HOME APPLIANCES OR
HVAC SYSTEM AGAIN.
THE
TECHNICIAN WAS VERY PROFESIONAL HE TOOK THE TIME TO EXPLAIN TO ME EVERY
SINGLE THING THAT HE CHECKED AND SHOWED ME THE DEFFECTIVE PARTS, I
COULD SEE THE CAPASITOR ALL INFLATED READY TO EXPLODE AND THE CONTACTOR
WITH BLACK BURN SPOTS, TO ME THAT HE DID A GREAT JOB AND HE WAS VERY
HONEST EXPLAINING ALL WHAT HE FOUND."

"The technician emptied the freezer, which was in the basement, to work on the part that needed repair. Then he neglected to put anything back into the freezer, including a turkey I had bought for Christmas and a rack of ribs. Two days after he left, I went out of town for two weeks. The turkey actually exploded and spewed its liquid all over everything, which had to be discarded. I let AHS know and they couldn't even bother to call me or follow up on this. I'm considering not renewing my contract with them because of the quality (or lack thereof) of many of the providers they send."

"My only complaint is that we had to re-schedule two times but I can see that this is just part of the business with people who are always on call. Over all I was impressed with the speed and efficiency of their work and diagnosis of our problem. We have replaced the defective machine rather than repairing. Thank you Jim Clarke"
