"Approximately 3 years ago, this company installed a complete sprinkler system for us.  They did a fabulous job and we were thrilled with the results.  This spring, one of the stations quit working.  I contacted Mr. Wood and he sent Luis out to fix the problem.  Luis showed up exactly when he said he would (always a plus in my book) and discovered that we had inadvertently cut the wire to that particular station (probably when we moved some landscape lights around).  He fixed it lickety split and also fixed a rusted connection to my rain gauge.  The system is working perfectly once again.  Thanks for a job well done! <br />"

"The price charged by them was $2000. Mr. Slater himself came out, measured the lawn and drew up the plan for us. They submitted it to the city for approval. So, he did all that very efficiently. Then they came out and put the sprinkler system in one day, which was very nice. Mr. Slater then came out and explained how to run the system and everything else to us. Overall, it was a really good experience. It’s kind of hard to judge with the heat and the drought as to how well it works, but it does work. They are due to come out and do the annual check. They had a coupon where we got the rain sensors free along with the system. So, it helped us with the price too. If it rains, the system doesn’t go off."

"I highly recommend Chris and the whole team at Thrive Outdoor Solutions. They have done 3 properties and counting for us now. Two properties included residential drainage, french drain, sprinkler system inspection and repair, and landscape cleanup. The other property was a small commercial property they installed a large drainage system and hardscape. Very professional, timely, and trustworthy. I would highly recommend them for any exterior work you need!"

"Was REALLY happy with A.I. Sprinklers. Originally had another company check the system. They basically couldn't get it going. Israel returned my call very quickly and was able to go out to the property within several days. He got the system going within about 45 minutes or so and kept cost to a minimal. Seems honest and knows his stuff when it comes to irrigation repair. I HIGHLY recommend him. <br />"

"I have been using Angie's List for over 15 years. I take the time to review comments before I hire anyone to come to my home. I liked the reviews from McGraw's and had them come out to service my system. I also needed a new rain sensor and had a leak in the backyard. Although I have a new home, the sprinkler system that was put in was a lower grade. Their sensor was cheap and never worked. This is the best $125.00 you will ever spend so that your system can be left on when it rains or drops below 32 degrees, it will shut the system off. They replaced 23 heads, 1 sensor and the leak. It's not cheap to replace sprinkler heads so that is what pushes up the price. However, it was all worth it so I can get the house ready to be placed on the market. A great team that had it done in a few hours. Thank you."

"I appreciated the professionalism of the techs who arrived on site.  They made most of the necessary repairs but unfortunately missed a few sprinkler heads (there were a lot).  Part of one of my zones had a flow issue and instead of recommending they fix it themselves ($175/hr) they suggested either DIY or hired help because the work did not required their expertise.  With a little sweat I was able to fix the problem and save a little money as well.  Bottom line, It was an above average experience, but I wish they would have looked a little harder for the sprinkler heads that were missed. <br> <br>Pros:  Punctual arrival and got straight to work.  Was very knowledgeable regarding irrigation systems.  Found a problem area within one of my zones. <br>Cons:  Did not service all sprinkler heads."

FAQs for lawn and garden sprinkler system installation projects in Crandall, TX

While drip irrigation systems have higher upfront costs, they can save you money in the long run. By delivering water directly into the soil with minimal evaporation and runoff, drip irrigation systems conserve water and improve efficiency. This means better performance and results for your landscaping, and cost savings over the system's lifespan.

Yes, irrigation systems can add value to your home, especially when installed with high-quality materials and a solid design. A well-irrigated landscape enhances curb appeal and can attract potential buyers. However, poor design or installation may reduce performance and even decrease your property's value. Hiring an expert for installation and performing regular maintenance is key to securing the long-term benefits.

A local irrigation professional can help you check your drip irrigation system to make sure it's in good shape. You'll want to make sure the water pressure is in a good range, repair any leaks as soon as possible, and cover the cost to winterize your sprinkler system as recommended by your irrigation contractor.

A drip irrigation system lasts between 10 and 15 years. This lifespan is determined by the quality of materials, the precision of installation, and regular professional maintenance. Unlike traditional sprinkler systems that can last up to 50 years, the thinner piping used in drip systems is more sensitive to UV exposure and environmental wear. Proper upkeep and timely repairs enhance durability and ensure consistent irrigation performance.

Drip irrigation is best suited for plant beds, containers, greenhouses, and row crops. It supplies water directly to individual plants, ensuring precise moisture control where it is needed most. For areas with simple layouts, above-ground systems work efficiently, while subsurface installations may be cost-prohibitive in spaces with extensive tree roots or irregular terrain. Proper planning maximizes the benefits of drip irrigation across a variety of applications.
