"Job was done quickly and professionally. Blaine was knowledgeable, skilled, respectful of the property, and cordial with us while on the job. He addressed all questions and concerns, and spotted other little bits of upkeep we should expect to deal with in the future. Overall a great experience! Would definitely hire them again. "

"Antonio was great. I had 2 ceiling fans installed on a 15 foot high pitched ceiling. The fans I purchased were meant for a ceiling with a much smaller pitch so they were not able hang straight as is. I thought I would have to wait and buy some additional hardware to complete the job but Antonio clearly communicated with me to show me why they wouldn’t work and talked me through a few ideas he wanted to try to make it work. It took a bit more time but in the end he was able to make some cuts and holes to the fans and they worked out great in the end. He saved me some time and money so I was happy to leave him with a tip. "

"Some of the estimates I received came with a dog and pony show... kind of like being in the finance office when buying a car. They have all these programs and extras and services and upgrades and protections.... All-In Electric gave me a simple, straight forward estimate that was a fraction of what the others gave. They did an excellent job and I am very happy with the work. "

"Job was done right and efficiently. I purchased their membership for ~$13 a month (1yr commitment) b/c we has just bought a new house and it brought the cost down. Subtracting 1 star b/c with the membership I was sold, I was supposed to receive a free house check, which didn’t happen. Electrician just installed the station and was ready to go. I’ve guy though, and did good work."

FAQs for electrical switches, outlets & fixtures install or repair projects in Curtis Bay, MD

To select and hire an electrician for your light switch installation, start by evaluating candidates as you would for any skilled position. Ask detailed questions, request a written quote, and verify their licensing credentials. This careful screening prevents unexpected fees and ensures every aspect of the installation, including any drywall repairs, complies with code.

A light switch can malfunction due to compromised wiring or overheating conditions. Faulty connections and excess heat diminish the switch’s performance. If you hear crackling, popping, or hissing sounds when toggling the switch, this indicates active electrical faults that pose a safety hazard and demand immediate professional inspection. Prompt attention prevents further damage and ensures reliable operation.

Installing a light switch takes 30 minutes or less, on average. The installation time depends on the switch type, with dimmer switches requiring additional time compared to standard on-off switches. While the hardware replacement might be completed in 15 minutes, it's essential to adhere to safety protocols, like turning off the circuit breaker and verifying there's no power, for a safe and code-compliant installation.
