"Tom and his son Tommy did a wonderful job. Removing our relatively new railing and then replacing it back after the deck was completed was a challenge that other contractors could not guarantee. The railings went back exactly as before, without any damage or lost pieces. They arrived on time and removed all of the old cedar two level decking. They made sure all of the sub-structure was in good condition, and replaced/reinforced where ever was necessary. They even demolished the existing steps, and built an entire new stairs. I had an existing problem with wood rot under my sliding glass door, but Tom adding flashing and insured that the new decking was slightly sloped away from the door to keep rain and moisture away from the wood base. Their overall workmanship was outstanding. They cleaned up the premises so well, that you wouldn't even know they were here. We had received estimates from several companies, but what we liked about Russett was that they only do decks, and they do it themselves......no subcontracting. I would highly recommend them to anyone."

"I talked to many (I'm a bit embarrassed to say how many!) deck builders to get quotes on replacing my wooden deck with a composite deck from spring until early fall 2019. I was looking for a combination of the right price, outstanding customer service, and feeling confident that the contractor would do the job right. "Fantastic! I called and got an appointment immediately for some one to come out and give and estimate. I agreed to the price and put down 1/3. The first workman showed up the next day to do the power washing between the times given. I had 1 day for the deck to dry and the next day 3 men arrived promptly to do the rest of the work which involved hammering down loose nails, sanding the places that needed it, painting the deck with two coats of special paint, and painting the rails and steps with a different type of paint. The owner stayed in touch by phone during the whole process and came by to make sure I was happy with the results."

"This company actually listened to what I wanted. We had a 40 year-old upper and lower outside deck that structurally was sound. If I were to replace these decks as suggested by several companies, my guess is it would have cost $35,000. This company assessed my decks from a structural standpoint and determined that they could rehab the deck with long lasting materials and my deck would be something I would be proud of. I am and they did the work in a week and a half at about one third of the cost of building a new deck. I highly recommend them."

"Twenty years ago Fence & Deck Connection installed a long fence (about 1,000 feet) around my backyard. Twenty years later five of the hundred or so vertical posts had rotted and were sagging, and I was worried they wouldn't last another winter. When I called Fence & Deck Connection to repair the fence, I didn't even remember that they provided a lifetime warranty on it. But of their own accord they reminded me of that fact and came out and did the needed repairs. It is very rare that I have ever used a product’s warranty and never have I used one twenty years after I made a purchase. "Representative was very friendly and made an appointment to come to our home to put together an estimate. He was very knowledgeable about fencing, materials, etc. I was impressed with the sample materials that he brought to demonstrate the quality of their product. He also explained that, since they do things the right way, their company's estimate would undoubtedly be higher than the others I would receive. Fair enough--I appreciated being told upfront. I also understand that you get what you pay for. But, everything in life is a cost-benefit analysis. After assuring the rep we would be in contact once we made a decision, he stated that he definitely would not be hassling me to pressure me into going with his company. As it turns out, of the many companies that I reached out to, this rep kept badgering me with more and more messages. Other companies might send one or two follow up emails, but this guy was persistent! Even after gently informing him that it is simply not in our budget (their quote was $3700 more than two of the lower bids we received), he would still send messages telling me how our fence wouldn't last since we are going with a subpar company. I have no doubt they do excellent work, but they also need to respect that customers are going to request multiple quotes and not everyone is able to go with their company"

"So please that I went with JW. The side entry porch had rotted wood throughout and the steps were sagging. Also, exterior house paint had been removed years ago but prior owners did not address one side of house, probably cause it was hidden behind crepe myrtles. Crepe myrtles are now gone and that wall is very visible on the street. Also there were some little jobs needed around the house such as replacing rotted boards above the garage. Got a quote from JW in late April and scheduled the work for the week of July 21 for 6-7 days of work. Two workers showed up promptly on the 21st and did a great job. Very pleased with the JW crew as they kept me posted on the progress throughout the job which was completed in six days. Wish I could post before and after pictures as it looks fantastic"
