"Freedom Fence & Deck did a fantastic job replacing our 35-year-old wood fence with a beautiful white vinyl fence. Jim (the salesman) was very easy to work with and accommodated all of our design choices. We found particular latches and handles that we wanted to use, and they agreed to install them for us. The contract process was quick and straightforward. After about six weeks, they were ready to install the fence. They sent out two crews at the same time, plus the owner Steve, who worked alongside them. With seven people working, they managed to finish the entire job in just one day! Our old wood fence was completely removed in about 15 minutes, and then they meticulously installed the new fence, setting all the posts into wet concrete and making sure all the sections were straight. At the end of the long day, when one of the locking gate latches wasn’t working right, Steve patiently worked on it until eventually we realized the part was defective, so he replaced it with a working one. A certain kind of handle had to be ordered, and as soon as it came in, he came back to install it. "So we were having our brick stairs redone out front of the house and we wanted to find someone to replace the two broken railings. Because only the top-cap of each railing was broken, our contractor for the brick work suggested that a repair could be performed. One fellow quoted $1000.00 per rail. He wanted to leave most of the railing in place, welding in a new section of iron on the top of each rail. Once our our neighbor called someone else who quoted $400.00 per rail for the same repair, the other guy said he could match that price. So imagine my surprise when R D Neale from Baltimore Wrought Fence and Rail said that he could use the existing materials and do the repair for 85 bucks a rail and make them look as good as new! Sure enough, he came out right away, fixed up the rails, and even repainted them. The rails look great and I couldn't be happier. "mail.We originally contacted the contractor near the end of April since my wife and I wanted to get some stumps removed from our back yard and to replace the fence. We were also wondering if we needed to get the large spruce tree at the front of the house cut down since it was leaning and shedding alot of needles. Ben came out and gave us an estimate for removing the tree, grinding and removing the stumps in the yard, taking down the fence, and grading the sloping back yard, which is what we also wanted.
The quote we received was complete, and stated that it was good for 60 days. Well, work ramped up, and we weren't able to get fence quotes as well as a boundary survey completed until mid to late June after we came back from vacation.At that point, we had decided to leave the tree alone, since we were told it was healthy and not a danger. We also found a fence company we were comfortable working with.
Two days after the 60 days was up, I both telephoned and emailed the company with a revison of the original quote (minus the tree removal)  and said that I hoped that that quote was still good, and that we would like to get the work done within two weeks to coordinate with the fence contractor.
I didn't get any response, so I again left a voice mail.
I understand that it is a small family-owned business, but I would hope that someone would check both email and voice messages at least once a day.  Email is great, but it still doesn't beat the personal touch of a real person's voice on the phone.
I'd still like to hire them, and I know that I let time pass before deciding to hire them, but I would appreciate some contact, please.

"This was done very well with no debris reminiang for me to clean.  I also wanted the sink/counter/dishwasher area removed to check for mold and mildew as the counters were not sealed to wall.  This couuld not be done due to cabinet being installed before plumbing.  After contacting Kargman's, I was told to have Henry (the workman) do whatever else I needed done to get the 40 hours in.   Henry was excellent and I would highly reccomend him to anyone."

"I had them curve the outside edge of deck and install black spindles on the rails.  They also installed solar caps on every post.  The men were professional and courteous and no nonsense!  They completed the work in 3 days and 2 of those days were a Saturday and Sunday!  All work was completed with the agreed upon price.  Looking forward to a great summer on my new deck!

"The gutters were installed improperly. The guy who came out for the estimate was really great and was easy to work with but the people that actually came out and did the work didn't speak English and were difficult to communicate with. They damaged the roof. The removed a vent pipe leaving a hole in the roof which leaked after they left. Then they didn't take responsibility for it. They came out and fixed it and then wanted to charge me additional services after I just paid $12000 for the roof. It took them 2 weeks to refund me $3000 overcharge on a credit card. They were not great to deal with. I would not use them again. I suggest having a single point of contact and take responsibility for a project."

"Fred worked quickly. He finished the entry gate and replaced part of the fence that was missing. His work was excellent. He did a much better job than the original company which installed the fence. Then he started attaching the wire fence to one side of the fence. Initially he was'nt sure if he'd be able to attach the wire to the entire fence and I did not expect him to because he had done so much already. Fred had to move some tree branches out of his way in some areas but he manged to attach the wire fence to the entire wood fence. He did a wonderful job and he his work exceeded my expectations. I would use this company again and I'm going to tell my friends and family about them.
