"My project was a new sump pump in my crawl space. Mr. Rooter came and did everything in a very timely and efficient manner. Colby was the name of my plumber/technician, and he was very experienced and knowledgeable about sump pumps/crawl spaces in general. He was also very personable and helpful throughout the process, and the cost was way less than a few other companies that I had contacted re the same project. I feel fortunate that this project went off so well and that my plumber/technician was so great. My experience was very positive, and I will definitely hire Mr. Rooter ~ and request Colby by name ~ again."

"The rep came to our house and tested our water, which was found to be really good water. We still wanted an RO system and he explained our options. He did not upsell us on the highest end products, but educated us on our choices and we chose a system that worked for us. The follow up service over time has been outstanding. They even came to repair a part we had broken and only charged us for the part. Outstanding company with employees who go above and beyond."

"We had a damp crawlspace. John's installed drainage with sump pumps (lead and backup with battery backup power) and encapsulated the dirt with 20 mil plastic. They also installed PU foam around the perimeter foundation walls to complete the insulation envelope of the house and a dehumidifier top keep the crawlspace area dry. In short, this work solved the problem we had and provided the added benefits of a more energy efficient and comfortable house due to the insulation as well as better indoor air quality. The work was done in four days and at considerably less cost than a competing contractor bid to do it. Another person that we had inspecting house later looked at the crawlspace and commented, "Wow! You could do brain surgery down here." We actually wouldn't recommend that though ;)"

"<strong>What can I say except outstanding!! </strong> <br /> I live on Skyline Blvd and our well pump went out 16 years ago in the middle of a snow and ice storm - could not get anyone anywhere to come up to help until I found Precision Pump..they brought up their rig up in 2 feet or snow and ice and got the job done..so 16 years later I left a message to them at 12:30am that we had problems - they called the first thing and was at the house within the hour - replaced the pump and had us up and running again by the evening...and our well pump is down over 700 feet! <br /> <br /> The same two gentlemen worked on the problem - they were just 16 years older.. <br /> <br /> I have owned a business for 34 years and it is all about service ...Precision Pump is a great example of how to run a business and service clients."

"When the crew arrived on time, they told me that they looked up the county records and said that the well was placed in 1994 and that the pump was original. They said that they will virtually be doing the same labor in replacing pipes to install the manual pump system to hand pump my well that I should have the old pump replaced at the same time. They had the foresight to have loaded the truck with a new pump and all necessary parts. I feared the old pump would fail and they made sense to me. I greatly appreciated them discounting the normal labor for installing the new pump since they were doing virtually the same work already. I was saved several thousand dollars and got a new needed pump and pipes at the same time! I have had them work on our well before and they have always been professional and timely. We live in a mountain community and they are the go too well folks up here in our little community of 90 homes."

"End to end, the process of making an appointment to getting the work complete was seamless. My kitchen drain backed up on a Thursday evening. I called Drain Away at 7:20 am the next day and they were available to have a tech out by Sat. morning which worked great for me because it meant I didn't have to take off work. On the day of service, the office called promptly at 8 am to let me know they had dispatched and would be there shortly. The work was completed in about an hour and a half which included not only the kitchen drain but also a utility sink drain I asked the tech to look at. Clean, friendly, efficient and best of all I didn't have to juggle work or pre-scheduled Sat. afternoon plans. Highly recommended."

FAQs for sump pump repair or replace projects in Dayton, OR

Sump pumps last about 10 years with proper maintenance and prompt repairs. Several factors can influence your sump pump’s lifespan, such as usage, environmental conditions, and installation. Premium sump pumps with heavy-duty motors and quality components tend to last longer than lower-cost models. Pedestal sump pumps usually last longer than submersible models since they’re not constantly exposed to water.

A basement French drain is a drainage system installed in basements or around a building’s foundation to redirect water and prevent flooding. This system features a trench with a perforated pipe that catches and transports water away. These systems can crack, freeze, or clog, potentially resulting in flooding or strain on your sump pump.

You can use a sump pump in your yard to minimize pooling water and landscape damage, but it’s best used in conjunction with other drainage systems. This can include French drains, trench drains, underground downspouts, and other equipment. Proper lawn care, such as soil aeration and native plants, also aids with drainage.
