"He was very pleasant and knowledgeable. I told him I couldn't afford anything fancy before he examined the pipes. After he looked everything over he told me what he could and quoted me a price that was well within my means.. I was very pleased to get same day service. He made sure that he cleaned up his mess and even took the bucket I had under the sink to catch any water outside and emptied the debris. <br /> I will recommend this company to anyone who needs any plumbing work done and will continue to use this company if I need any work done is the future. <br />"

"They did great! Had to go to the parts store TWICE to get the needed parts (old toilet) but now the toilet water fill valve no longer thinks it's a fountain head. ;-) <br /> Well done. Highly recommended. <br />"

"Came the very next day after my initial call to diagnose problem. Came a second time to try a new circuit board first before replacing more expensive part, unfortunately problem continued. Immediately ordered parts and returned the same day the parts were delivered to him to install them. Fixed both problems and everything is great now. Part for dryer was $150 and total bill was $274. Part for washer was $25 and total bill for that was $71. Considering the price of the parts and him making three trips, I thought these bills were very reasonable. Very nice and accommodating to deal with. I would Highly recommend Shawn at Livingston Service."

FAQs for gas piping projects in Deal-island, MD

Plumbers with proper licensing and credentials install and relocate gas lines. When hiring a professional, verify they have experience with gas systems and all required certifications. Some homeowners choose to work with plumbers specializing in natural gas installations, as they have extensive experience with similar projects and understand the safety requirements.

The timeline for gas line relocation varies based on project complexity, permit processing, and inspection scheduling. The physical labor takes a few hours to one day, depending on the line length. However, the actual installation work represents only part of the overall project timeline. Your contractor should provide a specific timeframe based on your circumstances and local permitting requirements.

Your gas supply must be shut off during the relocation process. This safety measure prevents gas leaks while connections are being modified. Plan for this temporary service interruption by making alternative arrangements for cooking, heating, or other gas-dependent systems in your home. The shut-off generally only lasts for a portion of the work, often a few hours.

Relocating gas lines to connect new appliances is a common reason for this type of project. Whether you're installing a gas stove, fireplace, dryer, or outdoor grill, a professional can determine the best route for extending your existing gas system. The cost will depend on the distance between your current gas line and the new appliance location.

Gas line work is not suitable for DIY projects. Natural gas is highly flammable and potentially lethal if not handled correctly. Gas leaks can be difficult to detect without specialized equipment. Professional plumbers have the proper training, tools, and experience to safely relocate gas lines while ensuring compliance with local building codes and safety standards.
