"I have used them a couple of times and they are excellent. They are very professional, friendly and they are very fair with their pricing. I would highly recommend them as well."

"Mike Williams false advertising. No Service. It is unfortunate they do not have minus stars. I honestly do not understand how they can be in business. Sold and installed (a shabby job) $13,000 furnace and A/C it worked for a about a month. Brought the baby home from the hospital furnace did not work. Goof they sent over said it was set op for a heat pump and never started properly. He claimed all was OK. Three weeks later no heat. 3 week old baby, 1 year old toddler, it's currently 28 degrees out side and under 60 degrees inside. Called for service. They claim they have 24 hour service. Said they would call at 7 in the morning the next day. Their add in the phone book says 100% Guarantee or your money back. Mike Williams (probably a fake name, no one would put their real name on a sham like this) come get your junk furnace, your no service, give my money back so I can go to a real HVAC company and get a job done properly and 24 hour service. Stick to what you might know best the wax ring at a toilet bowl."

I have been a general contractor for 15 years now owner and operator of hoyt construction for 1 year now. I have done everything from new home construction to finishing carpenter. I can do drywall, flooring, tile. I can do fencing, decks, sunrooms and even full kitchen remodels. I have always told myself to do every job like I would if I was working in my own house. I think that's what sets me apart from other construction companies. I have always said I can also beat anyone's price almost every time.

FAQs for appliance (major electric appliance) installation and replacement projects in Decatur, IL

A pro starts by setting the units in place and connecting them to the right plumbing lines, electrical circuits, and, for the dryer, a vent. If the hookups already exist, the job is quick. When they don’t, the installer must add plumbing, outlets, or a vent run, which takes more time and increases the price, especially when the laundry area is located far from existing utilities.

You’ll need the right pros for a tight stacked setup. A natural-gas plumber handles the water lines, drain, and any gas work, while an electrician installs the circuit the dryer needs. If venting or framing changes are required, hire a general contractor to patch the drywall or adjust the framing so that everything meets code and operates safely.

Permanent models need complete plumbing, electrical, and—for dryers—vent hookups. Portable units skip most of that and can run on a standard outlet with a temporary water connection. If your home already has a code-approved hookup, you just connect the new appliances. If not, hire a licensed pro to add the lines and vent so the machines run safely and efficiently.

Relocating a hookup costs between $500 and $5,000, as it may involve installing new outlets, gas lines, vents, and drain pipes. The price increases when the new location is far from existing utilities or requires additional framing and drywall work. Have licensed professionals evaluate your layout, provide a quote for the move, and handle the installation so that every component meets code and works safely.
