"The company is 1 hour 20 minutes away. When I called, I left a message. They called back the next day to let me know they do not come to where I live. They did give me information on how to look up other companies, but I have not done this yet. I go the impression this is a well-organized, well-run company."

"Tony was super responsive right off the bat, and got to our job right away, faster than we expected.  He was able to book us within a couple of weeks.  He replaced our kitchen counters with granite and installed a new tile backsplash, all in just 2 days!  He and his crew left the house clean.  Tony is super nice and gave us great service, and we would definitely use him again!  Thanks, Tony!"

"Just moved into a new build (second in as many years) and Daniel and his crew far exceeded my expectations both in value and quality. It's refreshing to work with a team that knows what they are doing and care about quality. The work included a 10' CO Spruce, 10' Bosnian, three 18' multi-stem Aspen's and four other trees in addition to shrubs, sod, irrigation, concrete, mulch, rock and so on."

"<p>After obtaining a bid from a prominent local tile business that I thought was too expensive, I asked Levi's Custom Tile for a bid that came in at one third the price for the labor compared to the other vendor. Levi and is workers installed the tile on time, as specified, and did an excellent job. Very professional. We plan on using him again for future jobs.</p> <br />"

"We first hired Brad to complete a patio that someone else had begun. That led into doing another patio with beautiful stairs connecting them. He redesigned our fence configuration in the back yard so that we have more back yard, plus built it 8 feet tall to keep the deer out of the yard. Then we talked about the floors in our home; eight rooms had old carpet or linoleum and we wanted to switch to ceramic tile. Brad learned how to lay tile, even bringing in a professional tile-layer from Utah who is a good friend, and helping us pick out what type of tile to use and what patterns to use in each room. Next was the garage project, which Brad designed and built himself. He then built us a chicken house which he designed, based on his experience raising his own chickens (and sold us some starter hens and a rooster). The patios are bordered by low walls made of beer/pop cans covered with stucco; they are free-form and very organic looking. The bathtub project came about because we discovered mold behind the wall around the tub; he and a carpenter friend removed the tub and designed a shower stall, maximizing the space available. He even custom-made the shower pan. The last projects he did were the raised beds, the outdoor kitchen, and the final patio that replaced the old front porch (also with low walls). Brad is an artist in his work; he did the design work on most of these projects, but would work with us and LISTEN to us express our ideas of what we wanted. He is very personable and friendly, easy going, and fun to have around!. We have personally recommended him to friends and acquaintances in the area; his work speaks for itself. I want to adopt him! <br />"

FAQs for gravel or loose fill paving install, spread or scrape projects in Deer Trail, CO

To calculate how much pea gravel you need for your project, multiply the length, width, and depth of the area you want to cover to find the volume in cubic feet. Then, divide that number by 27 to convert it to cubic yards to determine the amount of pea gravel you need.

A yard of pea gravel weighs about 1.3 tons or 2,600 pounds. Keep in mind that wet gravel weighs more than dry, and different types of gravel can vary in weight. For example, due to its density, river rock weighs significantly more than crushed stone and pea gravel.

The ideal depth for pea gravel depends on the type and size of your project. You'll need at least two to three inches for walkways and patios and a minimum of six inches for driveways to support heavy vehicles and prevent shifting over time. Aim for a depth of three to four inches in decorative garden beds or drainage areas.

Pea gravel is attractive, versatile, and low-maintenance. It provides excellent drainage, making it ideal for pathways, driveways, and garden beds. On the downside, its sharp texture isn't ideal for bare feet, and it can be challenging to weed or remove once installed. It can also shift underfoot without proper edging, creating an uneven surface.

Alternative landscaping materials you can use instead of pea gravel include wood chips, decomposed granite, crushed stone, pebbles, quartz, mulch, sand, and river rock. These materials offer different aesthetics, performance, and costs, so it’s important to do your research to determine which one best fits your landscape design and budget.

Many homeowners choose pea gravel because it requires minimal upkeep compared to other landscaping materials. You'll need to rake it occasionally to redistribute the stones and maintain an even surface. Pros also recommend installing weed barrier fabric beneath the gravel to prevent unwanted growth, although some weeds may still appear over time.
