"Our project: Full kitchen redesign including changed floor plan. Plus remodel the dining room, living room, hallway, entry way, basement living room and hallway. Also new stair railing system. Basically everything except bedrooms and bathrooms. We got quotes from several different companies and all 3 were around the same price point for our project. Peak stood out from the others because they were the most professional and seemed the most interested in helping us achieve our goals. Initially we worked with Eric who listened to what we wanted and helped us design our remodel. He provided us with a 3D model of the new layout and space along with an estimate. We then worked with their extended teams to pick out all the materials like flooring, counter tops, cabinets, tile, doors, hardware, paint colors, lighting, etc. It took longer than they expected to start and finish the job but we're very happy with the end results. The quality of their workmanship is EXCELLENT! Also, their crew was very professional and kept things tidy and as clean as possible. "The project went very well.  Storm damage caused by two trees coming down on two sides of the fence was repaired in 2-3 hours.  The workers reviewed all needed work from the estimate prior to beginning the work.  They even volunteered to replace a top rail from another section of the fence, not included in the estimate, that had been bent in a storm many years before.   The workers were very thorough, did not damage any plants or grass around the damaged areas and cleaned up after themselves.  The workers were knowledgeable and polite.   They made sure everything was nice and straight!  Everything looked very nice when they were finished.  The workers were approximately an hour late from the start time I had been given.  I called and was told they had gotten a late start.  Their good work made up for the lateness.

"Hal's work is top-notch but I grew increasingly frustrated with the timing and inconsistency of his work habits. His was one of several estimates I received and basically he said he would beat any estimate I received. The difference is that everyone else was going to use cedar and he only works with pressure-treated Southern yellow pine, which is less than half the cost of cedar. I was unsure of the durability and longevity of that product so I did extensive research online. Still unsure, I drive around the Twin Cities to see other jobs Hal did that gave stood the test of time and I decided to move forward. Clearly, the way he builds his fences require considerably more manual labor than those built with cedar posts and pickets so essentially instead of paying for the higher cost of cedar, you pay for increased labor costs. Unfortunately, Hal isn't as going as predicting when he will get jobs complete as he is completing them well. He was over a month late in getting started and I repeatedly had to call him to inquire about the delay. It was quite frustrating but since I didn't absolutely need the fence done by a certain date, I decided to practice patience. Once he finally started, most days he and his helper only worked 4 hours so the project dragged on far longer than I thought it would. Admittedly, there were a couple of weather-related days but other times when it was a perfect day, they wouldn't show up and I would give no idea when they were coming again. After I told him I really needed to have him be more communicative, he was and within a short time after that conversation, he completed the fence. The fence is beautiful and appears very sturdy. We'll see how it withstands time and weather but for now I am very happy with it. Hal does beautiful work but if you are on a strict timeline I would not recommend working with him. If you are flexible and don't mind putting more effort into communication, he is a great person to work with.

"I received bids from a few different deck maintenance companies and found Kevin to be very professional and honest about the work he does and service he provides. After awarding Kevin the job, Kevin and another employee did an excellent job refinishing our deck, plus the front cedar shakes and front cedar entry of our home. I found Deck Redo's work to be of equal or better quality than what I would expect from a higher priced competitor and felt very comfortable knowing they were going to do a great job. The quality of their work made the cost a very good value. I strongly recommend considering Deck ReDo if you are looking for bids for deck maintenance (ask about other cedar maintenance you may need done, they might be able to do. I was glad to have them do this work for us too)."

"Adrian and his crew did an excellent job from start to finish.  Within a week of signing the contract, they were at my house and working.  They discovered that the original siding did not have plywood or wrap behind it.  Adrian called me immediately, explained the situation that I had to have the wood and wrap behind the siding.  He gave me a very fair price on the additional work and material.  They got the material and started work the next day.   The staff is nice and courteous.  The house looks great! I plan on having them come out either in the fall or next spring to do additional work.  "

"Due to a severe hail storm, we had significant damage to our home. We contracted with Hoffman Weber to replace our roof, siding, gutters, windows and repair the decks. Our sales rep, Joe Wire, was extremely helpful working with us and the insurance company throughout the entire process. Joe responded promptly to our phone calls and address our questions and/or concerns when they arose. "We called Cady Handyman Services and a pleasant gentleman discussed our deck project.
Cady Handyman scheduled one of his service tech to come out the follow morning.
The tech arrived promptly at the scheduled time with a friendly ready to fix our problem attitude.
We have raised nails and screws on our deck that always seem to reappear during winter months.
These raised nails and screws made snow removal just horrible.The Cady tech recommened that we remove many of the bad loose fastners and replaced with a new non-corosive styles of screws.
After a complete walk through of our project we were extremely satified.

With our project completed we are now looking forward to the winter to come.

"We originally spoke to Peckel and two other contractors in 2009 for an estimate on a new fence, but had decided to hold off on installing one that year. When we decided to go ahead with it this year, we only called Peckels due to the great service we received last year, including the amount of time they had spent with us talking about our plans/options and the very detailed estimate/plans we had received. When they arrived to update our estimate, they had the original plan/estimate in hand and were able to recall our discussion from a year before! We discussed some changes we wanted, some problem areas we hoped they could address, and also were told about this great buy on tongue and groove cedar they had recently received. Due to changes to our original fence design and the great buy on wood, the estimate came down almost $2000, so we were very pleased. They also noted that we had dogs, so that they would have to work fast to get the old fence down and the new one up. They estimated they could begin the work in 3 weeks and were right on target. They removed our old chain link and installed the new posts in about a day and half. The cement work around the base of the posts was very professionally finished off and the posts were perfectly aligned. As they began the fence installation, they ran into a few problems in our yard that changed the originally plan, but made sure to reach out to us to discuss our options befpre proceeding. The fence installation took about 2? days, and we couldn't be happier! Our yard is not level, sloping down in one corner, and they did an incredible job adjusting the fence to match the slope while keeping the top line laser leveled. We also had requested a double gate along the back to allow us to open up the fence to throw snow off our driveway, and they created a great double gate for just that. They knew the reason for the new fence was one of our dogs, who fancies himself an escape artist, and took great care to ensure any opening was small enough to prevent his escape (so far he has searched every corner with no success!). They also took great care to finish off our neighbors chain links fences to not leave any gaps for them, which we (and they) greatly appreciated. The finished product is great! We love the look of it and the craftmanship! Everyone we dealt with at Peckels was professional and considerate - always thanking us for the work. This was one of the best experiences we have ever had with a contractor, and would definitely recommend them to friends/family or hire them again."
