"SealTech installed drainage in our backyard. We had gotten two quotes but get that Dani (owner) was more knowledgeable and professional so we went with them. The crew got done in two days and cleaned up nicely afterwards. Also, there is a five year warranty on the work. Highly recommend this company."

"WyattWorks did a fantastic job replacing 3 toilets in our house while installing "slow close" lids. The work was done seamlessly and there wasn't any "hassling" or "up-selling" during the process. Smooth and efficient! I highly recommend them for your plumbing needs."

"We had moisture and water buildup in an area within the basement and it was just hanging around the edges in our Vale, NC home. When we called for someone to come out, they quickly pointed out that it was not a fungus buildup, which my wife and I were very pleased about and then they described what they could do and we scheduled a date for the repair and installation of a drainage system. They just finished the install and it looks fantastic!! They did a great job and I was watching them work right through it with the greatest of ease. I'm so impressed with them, their professionalism and talents in installing this system to allow the drainage of water around our basement edges.. Many thanks to Gerber, Travis and Jacob for a fantastic job. Thanks so much Dry-Pro"

"Coming from a big city like New York I didn’t know much about septic systems. So it was all knew to me. I started to have water coming up in the yard. I noticed that it had a foul smell and a small puddle in the back yard. I contacted a buddy of mine who has a septic tank at his home. He told me to contact a company he used about a month ago. NC septic and pump specialist. He told me that they did a drain field line job for him and that it was awesome. So I called and made an appointment. It was a 9-11 am appointment and they showed up at about 9:30 and even called 30 min before they showed up. He arrived and introduced himself as Gage Martin the owner. I advised him that he came highly recommend by a good friend of mine. I took him to the area that had the puddle . He advised me that it would have to be pumped out and he can let me know more after. After pumping it down he advised me that the tank was in bad shape and should be all the cracks and route’s growing with in the tank. I could see that it was just rotting away. I advised Mr Martin that i was not to up on septic systems. He took his time and explained everything to me step by step. The way it works, what not to put in the tank, how the system actually operates. I asked him to quote me a price for a new tank. He had his office contact me with a quote with in an hour. and pictures of the inside and outside of the tank as well as all the damage to the tank. Also gave me the information needed to contact the people in the city and county to begin the process for the install. Even Help me with obtaining a permit to do the work. The work took about 2 days after I received the permit. I have a new tank and my system is running great. Thank you Gage for going above and beyond. For taking the time to explain all the moving parts of a septic system. Letting me know what to look out for and what not to put inside the tank. He even put me on a yearly check up. They will send me an email and remind me when it’s time to get my tank pumped. Thank you NC Septic & Pump Specialist for making my septic experience not so crappy. Lol."

"Our project required the installation of channel drains and french drains to clear water which had been pooling at the end of the driveway due to old, inadequate and damaged drains. Josh and his crew were professional, prompt and obviously experienced. The crew worked hard in difficult circumstances (heat and tree roots!) to complete the project when promised."

"Mark Bogle came out and went through every question we could throw at him . Very professional and patient . We decided to move ahead with the project . It took a couple of weeks to get on the schedule and we were good for launch . I expected large equipment rolling all over the property . What I got was two guys and two shovels . These guys might have looked low tech , but they came to work . The 5 foot deep , 2 foot wide 30 feel of length channel to the foundation was done in 6 hours . I was very happy and a bit shocked . The wall was cleaned thoroughly and sealed up . French drain was installed and everything backfilled . Weather slowed us down ( rain ) But still it was all a memory in 5 days . Im a very happy and grateful customer . I highly recommend Moisture Loc ."

FAQs for basement drainage channels installation projects in Denver, NC

Expect a well-built French drain to last 30 to 40 years. By channeling both surface- and ground-water away from your foundation, the system relieves hydrostatic pressure and helps prevent costly structural damage. Choose a pipe with a quality cloth filter to keep sediment out and extend the drain’s life. A quick annual inspection and routine cleanouts will keep water flowing freely, ensuring the system continues to protect your home for years to come.

Most French drains sit two feet below grade, but depth ultimately depends on the problem you’re solving. For puddling rainwater or snowmelt, a shallow curtain drain at lawn level often does the trick. To handle rising groundwater, pros dig deeper, down to the footing, and run the pipe beneath the basement slab. A drainage contractor will determine the optimal depth for your specific soil conditions and water issues.

A properly installed interior French drain captures water at the slab, channels it to a sump pit, and directs it safely outside, preventing basement floods before they occur. Because the pipe sits just under the floor edge, a plumber can reach it easily for cleaning or repairs. Pairing the drain with a reliable sump pump gives you the best long-term protection.

Hire a contractor who installs drainage systems every day—typically a foundation specialist, drainage contractor, experienced landscaper, or plumber with waterproofing experience. These pros understand slope, soil, and local codes, and they have the equipment to trench safely around utilities. Ask for references and photos of recent jobs to be sure they can design a system that keeps water off your foundation for decades.

Once the drain is in, patch the yard by reseeding bare spots or replacing plants the crew removed. Inside, look for ways to add value—finishing the basement or upgrading interior waterproofing while the space is open often costs less now than later. Schedule a quick annual checkup to flush sediment and confirm the pipe and sump pump are clear. Consistent maintenance ensures the drain functions properly and protects your investment.

Most policies don’t cover the cost of repairing a French drain itself, but they may provide coverage for water damage if the system fails. Coverage varies by insurer, so be sure to read the fine print or contact your agent before any issues arise. If you live in a high-risk flood zone, consider a separate flood policy to close the gap. Knowing your coverage in advance helps you budget for repairs and avoid unexpected costs.
