"Hard workers and they did a very good job. Our septic tank became defective and we decided to replace it entirely. They were able to schedule a date less than a week after we signed a contract for the work. They took care of getting a permit from the village, contacting another company to drain the septic tank, and breaking the septic tank up. This company has done other projects in Bloomingdale and worked closely with Village officials to do the job right. Prior to the work, we did have a village of Bloomingdale water dept employee come out and mark the location of the sewer. We did call JULIE to mark the location of underground cables. Comcast apparently never came out because they severed an unmarked Comcast cable. Not JS plumbing fault. Comcast did put a temporary wire in a day after we called but we were without internet for a day. I recommend calling Comcast first before doing the work. Do not rely strictly on JULIE. Beware, this is a very messy project and your lawn will have a large trench. JS plumbing advised to leave it settle at least 8 weeks before contacting a landscaper. Also be advised that it may be necessary to take out part of your fence in order to get heavy machinery into the yard. This is right in the contract and they do not replace fences. One fence post has to be replaced because the heavy equipment could not fit thru a gate. We were aware of it and knew that it had to be removed. The entire job took only a day and a half. JS Plumbing broke up the septic tank and buried it as required by village code. We are very happy with services provided and glad to get rid of septic tank."

"If I could give Ben more then 5 stars I would. From the moment he got to the house Ben was friendly, respectful and informative. I spent 2 hours with him as he identified the problem. He rodded out the line and showed me in depth with his camera what was happening with the sewer line. He was helpful every step of the way. I am going to make sure to refer Ben to anyone who needs a plumber because he was great, do not hesitate, ask for Ben and you will not regret it."

"It went great! Patrick came out on a Saturday to see what was causing my line to back up. He used his camera to find mud in a section of my pipe indicating some type of crack or break. Gave me my options for fixing it. He started his repair two days later on Monday and finished up today, Wednesday. They dug roughly, a 4ft by 3ft hole to get down to the pipe and ended up digging two more feet towards the basement to ensure that they connected the new pipe to a solid piece of the existing pipe. Very competitive pricing, I called two other plumbers who were both higher priced by at least 2K and didn't offer as good of a warranty on their work. Very knowledgeable, able to help me understand how my whole sewer system works. Very professional, got the permit with the city, busted the work out, got the job inspected by the city and Closed up the hole. Patrick and his crew were also able to remove a piece of cable that someone previously broke and left in the pipe ( from that machine that rods your line). I highly recommend Patrick and his crew. The peace of mind is priceless! Thank you!"

Customers say: True professional

"I noticed there was water in the cabinet under my kitchen sink.  I turned on the kitchen faucet and noted the U drain was dripping water.  I placed a pot under the drip with a towel under the pot.  I then did a search on Angie's list to find a plumber.  The first name that came up was Charlies Plumbing - Heating and Sewerage Service.  I noted on the map that he had done work in my area. Since it was late in the day, I waited until morning to call.  Charlie answered his phone after just a few rings.  I told him my problem and where I lived.  He stated he was at a job and would call me later.  He called a few hours later and stated he could stop by and check out the problem.  True to his word, he rang the bell and Charlie and a co worker diagnosed the problem quickly - the pipe was cracked and needed to be replaced.  He had the part that needed replacement and completed the job.  I would definitely call Charlies Plumbing again and recommend his plumbing services.

"When one is looking for a plumber, if you?re like me, it is possibly an urgent situation (as in in my case a sewer that was backing up.) So, to save you time, I?ll start with my bottomline opinion.  Reliance was excellent!  Alex, the owner, John, Cesar, Keith, and all the guys who worked on my home were honest, hardworking, and kind human beings.  They were also really good plumbers?. but, in my estimation the humanity that the company is seriously priceless.  It was the first time I worked with them, and I know that it won?t be the last.  They will be my first ?plumber? call.  I have them in my cell phone.
Now, to return to the beginning of my tale. I noticed an increasing amount of dirt around the sewer by my washing machine. (My laundry room is on a slab on the main floor.)  I called a different company that came out to rod the line from an interior clean out in my family room. They worked tirelessly for a day, but couldn?t get through, ended up getting their rod stuck in the line, actually had to return the next day to retrieve their equipment.  Based on their camera and detector inspection, they advised that I needed to dig down to the sewer.  Based on their staffing and scheduling, they simply didn?t have the manpower to handle it at that time, and recommended I call another company.
And that brings me to Reliance.  I called them first time in the morning.  John showed up that same day to estimate the job.  On Saturday...yes, on a weekend,  they began breaking through to the sewer. (They knew I only had a very minimal water flow and responded immediately to the urgency of the matter.  Over the next week they put in an exterior cleanout (much better for the future than my inside one) repaired the sewer that had corroded, replaced backfill and concrete, rodded to the street and then discovered that due to the roots by large evergreens they needed to power wash it, which they did the next day.  They were at my house a full week. They worked hard.  They were respectful and not only worked to fix the problem, but to make sure that I was informed and pleased with their work. I was rather distraught about the situation, and those guys made it as calming as it could be - considering I had to go elsewhere to shower, etc.  I want to add that Alex, the owner, actually came to my house several times to check on the progress and even after it was done to review the entire job.  He was a total stranger, but I would have been proud if he were my son! He was exceptionally considerate. What a nice young man.
I would be remiss if I didn?t mention that there were issues? life?s rarely perfect.  In part some things went wrong because they were starting where another company left off. In hindsight, I think they should have repeated some diagnostics to pinpoint the location of the problem. I?d suggested it, but they didn?t.  I wish I would have insisted. The result was that there was additional  jackhammering/digging in the driveway before they discovered that the break was just two feet  inside the house, instead of a few feet outside that same wall. They had to move indoors on the following days to open the floor in the slab.  But, they made good on their error, and didn?t charge for the additional work.  It was longer project, slower, but they kept going till it was done RIGHT. It was more money than initially estimated because they couldn?t have known that the roots would require the power wash.  And digging indoors is more time consuming.
I should add that on the days they were working outdoors it was brutally cold...remember that week?  Not one man ever complained.  And on the last day when they were power washing the sewer (temp had gone up), I asked if they could wash the driveway to get rid of the dirt residue from all the digging so that I wouldn?t continue tracking it into the house.  They did and were proud of the results.
People taking pride in their work and caring about customer statisfaction is all too rare in our world today.  Want to see it?  Call these guys.  As horrible as my situation was, at the coldest point in the year, Reliance made it as positive as possible. Thanks.

"Tim and Devin took care of my problem in a very professional manner by cleaning out the drain line . Plus they were friendly and careful in what they needed to do. As this was the second time Lifeline had to do this in the last 8 months, they recommended another service they could perform in warmer weather that would clean out the line more thoroughly."

FAQs for drain line breakage camera locate projects in Des Plaines, IL

During the inspection, you’ll watch a high-definition video feed that shows exactly what’s going on inside the pipe—everything from minor buildup to major cracks. Your plumber pauses the footage to explain what you’re seeing and why it matters. Bright lights and self-leveling cameras make sure each section is captured clearly, so you leave with a complete picture of your sewer’s health.

Most professionals complete a standard sewer camera inspection in an hour. That window covers setting up the gear, guiding the camera through the line, and reviewing the footage with you. If your house lacks a cleanout and the technician needs to pull a toilet or access a vent stack, tack on a little extra time—and cost—for that added work.

Yes, a sewer camera inspection can help you identify septic system problems. A sewer camera gives your pro a live view of the pipes leading to the septic tank, so they can spot blockages, corrosion, leaks, or other red flags without guesswork. Pinpointing the problem quickly means you can plan the right repair and keep the entire septic system running smoothly.
