"We have had a problem with our main building drain line clogging once a year, every year, since we purchased our home 14 years ago. We had it cleared around Thanksgiving of 2022 and it was again blocked only 2 months later. Fed up, I wanted to understand what the exact problem was, and proceed with fixing it. Tim and I spoke at length and therein I explained the history behind the issue (including experience from rodding the line myself on previous occasions). Tim explained what he thought the problem might be, based on his experience, and discussed various options including firm costs (not the "well, it will cost somewhere between $5 and $50,000" BS). We talked for about 30 minutes whereas conversations with other plumbers usually lasted all of 3 minutes wherein they explained how much it would cost, how they expected to be paid, and when they could come out. Tim showed up promptly at the agreed-upon time with Pedro and the two of them went to work. Without going into details, those two spent approximately 4.5 hours working my issue during which time they mechanically rodded the line 5-6 times, ran a camera into the pipe following each rodding, and then hydro-jetted it twice (might have been three times and they inspected the line using the camera after each hydro-jetting as well). I paid extra for the hyrdo-jet but I knew that they would probably need to resort to this following our phone call and again, I understood going into it exactly what the cost would be. These guys really busted their tails (other plumbers were typically in and out in an hour or less) and from what I could actually see via the camera, Tim and Pedro appeared to fix the problem once and for all. I spent a lot of time with them (as an engineer, I am curious by nature) and I felt like there were times when they could have said "Yeah, good enough" but they would talk and say "yeah, we should really do [this] again." In summary, Tim and Pedro were very professional, VERY hard-working, and extremely thorough, and I received a service that I feel was far in excess of that provided by anyone previously. Tim is the only person that I will call in the future should I need this service again (but I doubt it!). Finally, there were not surprise or escalated costs. Fantastic experience! Used to have to do it at least twice a year and then it turned into 3 or 4 times a year. The last guy we had told me he was going to have to rip up my floor in order to fix the problem. He told me to call and ask for Brian (Buck) and get a 2nd opinion which we did. Brian put a camera down the sewer line and saw that the pipe under ground was broken and replaced it for us. No other company in all those years even bothered to put a camera down there to see what the problem was. Brian suggested we get the line hydro jetted when the weather broke. We had no problems with the line for about a year and a half and the sewer backed up again. We called Brian and he sent Daniel to hydro jet the line. Daniel came with two other guys and got my sewers all cleaned out. He was kind, honest and friendly. I would recommend J&S Plumbing to anyone who wants to be treated fairly with great customer service. If there was more than 5 stars to give I would give them more. They are an honest, fair company! "Patrick came out within two hours and explained all the possibilities and what it would cost. Upon clearing the drain and inserting the camera, he discovered a cracked pipe. He explained what my options were. I hired him to replace the pipe. He immediately went to City Hall for the permit, began work the next day, and had it completed before Christmas Eve as promised. "The plumbing on the lower level of my place went haywire a couple of weeks ago and there was a smelly overflow of water coming out of the drain where my furnace and hot water heater drained condensation.  I called Charlie in a bit of a panic and left a message.  I waited a couple of hours and called back, and he picked up to let me know he was working on another job and would call me back.  Charlie called back around 9:30pm and told me that the issue is most likely related to my sump pump.  I told Charlie I had to leave for work at a certain time the next day so he said he could come over in the morning.  In the meanwhile, he told me not to run any water on the lower level.  
When Charlie came over, he checked the electrical connection first, which was fine, and eventually found out that the sump pump had died.  So right away, he ran out to grab a new one and came back quickly to begin replacing the pump.  When he tested the new sump pump, it still didn't work, and he ended up finding a clog in the pipes.  He fixed that issue right away.  Charlie finished right by the time I had to leave for work.  
Throughout the process, he took the time to explain what he was doing and gave me some tips along the way, which was much appreciated by this first time home buyer.  It was nice to experience someone so thorough and nice... Plus, Charlie gave me a good price on the services.  It's nice to know he's close by, too.  I'd give him a call again if I ran into any other plumbing issues.
