"I was extremely satisfied with the professional conduct of this job. I had carefully designed the structure of the shed. It was important that all the dimensions of the slab be met accurately and that the 6 posts be placed precisely and perfectly vertical. They were. Working with Jaime was very satisfying as we had numerous discussions about details as the job progressed. I provided some large salvage planks from the old shed that could be used to build forms, and he provided several significant suggestions to improve the end result. The slab was on a slight slope. He provided much deeper concrete on the downhill side to anchor the slab and resist underwash. He provided a large footer under each post before the main concrete pour, because the posts were going to carry the entire weight of the roof. I would not have thought to do that. This is the value of hiring an experienced contractor. The shed has been completed and the first delivery of sawdust has been made. The slabs stood up to the significant weight of the delivery truck as can be seen in my pictures."

"After finding Tillerman Gardens online and requesting an estimate for substantial hardscape/landscape work on our newly renovated house, we were pleasantly surprised to find out that Jesse, the owner, actually grew up in our neighborhood! On top of being a Takoma Park local, and an all around friendly, honest, business owner, we also came to learn that he does great work as well! His team completely transformed our hardscape areas, including installing a beautiful flagstone walkway and patio, a perfectly graded cement driveway, iron railings on our steps, and plants in a number of locations. On top of that, some of the work required some touch up and sealing and Jesse and his team have come out a couple of times later this spring to do that work unprompted. "The work was done well overall, but I had to remove some large concrete pieces from the sloping areas around the edges. The original diggers had buried these close to the surface, which would have made landscaping impossible. This was not Jerry's fault, as they did not follow his instructions to break these up, and add them to the substrate rock under the patio base. There were delays due to the very bad weather, out of his control, but the re-scheduling needs could have been communicated better, in my opinion."

"We have a finished basement and a crawl space in the storage area of our basement.  We have found after large rain storms recently water has been increasing in our crawl space. After one storm we found over 6 inches of water above the gravel in the crawl space and purchased a temporary pump to pump out the water, discarded the plastic vapor barrier with concern of mold growing on it and began to see seepage through the foundation wall to the basement. 
In order to find a solution we scheduled four appointments with Angie's list highly regarded basement waterproofing contractors.  We were surprised to find that each contractor provided different solutions ranging in cost from $13,814 to $1,950.  We were impressed with Mr. Norfolk's honesty and straight forward approach.  He noted that he could do some of the solutions provided by other contractors with piping systems to a sump pump but suggested to start with a more cost effective solution of just adding a sump pump to the crawl area and replacing the current basement sump pump that was 27 years old.  If additional solutions were needed in the future he could preform them but why spend the extra money at this time if not necessary. The work was performed on February 1st and took two workman 3.5 hours to complete.  The workman explained how the system worked and asked that we please follow up if we had any questions.  The only area I could see improvement was clean up as after they cleaned up I had to again sweep the work area and vacum the carpets covered by their drop cloths. There was also debris and concrete mix left on the driveway.
