My wife searched the web and found Mike at Flaker Flooring South Carolina and we contacted him on 6.9.2022 and made plans for him to come and look at the floor. We were in a hurry to put our house in CHESNEE, SC on the market by 6.18.2022. Mike usually does not work on weekends, but Mike came right out on time as scheduled and finished the floor on time.He called in advance to let us know exactly what time to meet. He went out of his way and repaired it perfectly. His price was very reasonable. We cannot say thank you enough. We highly recommend his company. He is licensed and insured and knows exactly what he is doing! You will have no regrets. He is very respectful and guarantees his work. We are very satisfied ! "Floors Sag or Shake was one of three estimates we got to reinforce the sagging floors in four rooms of our older home. We went with them based on the work they proposed and their positive online reviews, and we are completely satisfied with their work. They worked over three days to pour concrete footings, jack up the floors as best as possible, and then add permanent supports. They also removed an old vapor barrier and installed a new one. Each day, they arrived early and worked through the day. They communicated well and were courteous and professional. Prior to their work, our floors were not even close to level. More importantly, when walking on them, we could feel them "giving" under our weight. Now, our floors feel solid and look level throughout the house. While this type of work isn't as "fun" as other renovations, the cost of this repair is worth the peace of mind. Every time we walk across our floors, we are reminded of our investment. We also feel good about the transferable warranty—should we ever sell our home, a prospective home owner will have a good indicator that we invested in keeping this home safe and stable. "Out of all the companies I requested a quote from on Angie's list, this is the only company that responded to my request. The contractor arrived on time and took a look at my floor. He told me that it would be hard to find replacement planks because the floor was so old but he would try. I then asked him if he couldn't find replacement could he just move the damaged planks to another part of the floor and he replied "we'll see". After this is basically disappeared for four days with no response on whether or not he was successful or not in finding the replacement planks. After multiple texts, he finally responds with a short message saying "product was discontinued"; yeah, very helpful. I then texted him about my previous question about moving the planks to a different area of the floor, and no response. About an hour later I called him, and he didn't pick up. About a half hour later he calls back asking if anyone called him from my number. I tell him who I was and again asked about moving the planks, this time he tells me he can't do it, because the planks will "fall apart" as soon as he removes them. This is kind of hard to believe because I was able to remove planks from another area of the floor with no problem; but whatever. He then tells me my only option is to replace the entire floor for $5000. Yeah ok; no thanks."
