He is very knowledgeable.  He designed  a new layout that included moving the sink from the corner to under the window.  This gave more useful counter space between the stove and sink.  He gave me great advice about quality cabinets,sink and granite counter top. The linoleum floor was replaced with porcelain tile.  Ugly florescent lighting was replaced with recessed lights and a fan.  The crew did a great job installing everything.  They are meticulous workers.
