"Project took a little longer than expected but the crews were working during the hottest weeks of the year. Met or exceeded expectations. The few issues with minor aesthetics were discussed with the crew and solutions they suggested worked out well and look good. Dennis was very knowledgeable and approachable. "The entire experience with Josh Dunn and his team went extremely well. I had another contractor over to look at the space, and his estimate was 30k, he really had no good ideas for what to do with the originally awkward layout, and he advised that I should move my two kids (ages 1 and 4) out of the upstairs during the remodel. Josh walked in and immediately envisioned what to do with the space and came in with a lower estimate. He and Mike worked meticulously, controlled dust, and cleaned up every afternoon before they left. They did any and all sawing and tile-cutting outside. My baby took naps in the basement, but both my kids slept at night in their own beds in their rooms, and I never worried about dust. Josh and Mike are polite and professional, keep you informed of the process, and are also very good at what they do. No drywall seam is visible, no tile is crooked, and the paint job is extremely clean. Our remodel was extensive enough that we needed city (Richmond Heights) permits, and that required that separate electricians and plumbers do that work and that everything (electrical, plumbing, building) be inspected two times. All of that slowed things down, but Josh and Mike communicated so well and kept everything so neat that I had no complaints. They also subcontracted out to workers who were as nice and professional as they are. I will have Dunn Home Improvements do any home remodeling project, large or small, that arises in the future."

"We had some recent storm damage that was minor (all things considered) and had called a few other local companies. Everyone wanted to quote us for an entire new side of siding - until Zykan Exteriors! They not only said they could do it, but were prompt in responding to the request and sent a team out within 48 hours. The team was friendly and it did not take them long to get the job done. It may have been just a small fix, but being taken seriously and not simply downplayed is a definite win in the book. Would highly recommend them for any size job in the St. Louis area - you won’t regret it!"

"Maurice, Allin1 Plumbing provided excellent service replacing my exterior hose bib. Although running late from a previous appointment, he assured me he would keep his promised appointment and arrived at my home around 4 p.m. to bid the project. He quoted me a price for labor that was considerably below other estimates, and provide necessary materials at cost (showing me the purchase receipt). What truly amazed me was that, even though it was quite late to begin the job, he did the work immediately (rather than returning at a later, scheduled date), including running to Home Depot to procure the parts. The job was completed quickly, efficiently, and with no surprises. The project was completed totally to my satisfaction, with the worksite cleaned of all debris at completion. I will definitely contact Allin1 Plumbing for my next plumbing project. I should also mention that Maurice, fully capable to perform the needed plumbing, was also congenial, extremely polite, and most importantly, highly professional."

The initial visit was great. I was wanting to have the patio updated, shrubs added, and some areas relayed with concrete. I was really interested in the layout he gave me but the price was over my budget. He stated he would follow-up with me about another plan that could work with my budget but I never heard back. That was the only complaint I had.

"This is Paul's second project at our home.  His first project was the laundry room (which was really a test run at who we would hopefully hire for the larger kitchen project).  Paul stayed true to his bid and was easy to work with on minor changes.  Major changes were negotiated and Paul was fair to work with.  In the days of CAD (computer aided design) we were stretched outside of our comfort zone with Paul's hand drawn designs.  We were confident that he had what we were looking for... but had we not had the positive experience in the laundry room we NEVER would have been able to take the leap on such a large project.   That said, we are so happy that we did.  The benefit of using Paul was he could easily incorporate changes that many of the large firms would struggle with.  The best example of this was the custom fireplace mantel that Paul did.  Originally the mantel was going to be a separate piece; however, after the cabinets were in (and before the mantel was made) we asked him to make it look like it all went together...and he did.  
After the cabinets were done, we hired Paul to do all of the trim work in the home.  We did not want the standard "big box" base moulding and trim.  Paul custom made all of the trim and moulding in the areas we renovated.  It looks great.
My wife is a self proclaimed neat freak.  Paul kept the site clean and overall did a nice job keeping the mess to a minimum.  Paul has an easy going laid back personality and was easy to work with.  He was consistent about laying blankets and mats to protect the new hardwood floors.
