"I had a small but complicated, hard to access, and structurally essential repair job on a 60-year-old concrete deck attached to my 280-year-old Pennsylvania limestone farmhouse. I contacted several masons listed for my area on Home Advisor, and included Mr. Grady as a long shot -- I read about his expertise with historical structures and wished I had access to such an expert craftsman, but I didn't think he'd be interested in my teeny job and assumed I wouldn't be able to afford him anyway. He was the first one to return my call and to look at the job, and I thought his price was fair. I believe now it was way more than fair, considering the time he spent. He did extensive research, going over a structural engineer's report I had done previously on the deck and even examining the original architectural drawings and materials invoices from 1959. He showed up at least three times to complete the repair in stages, and has been back a half a dozen times since then to check the job -- and my location is not exactly in his neighborhood. He accepted only enough payment in advance to pay for lodging for himself and his assistant when they stayed nearby one night in order to be there early the next morning. He gave and continues to give free advice about preserving my stone house and patio. If you prod him a little, he might even share some of his personal philosophy, earned over a lifetime of work that is clearly more of an art form than a job to him. Overall, I'd say you can hire one of many competent contractors and get an adequate job, or you can hire Mr. Grady and get superior work by someone who cares about your property as much as you do."

"John handled our aluminum fence install without delay. He walked the line with us first, made sure the layout matched what we wanted, and started right away. The panels went in clean, no gaps or uneven spots. He stayed on task and worked through until it was done. No talking in circles, no delays. The fence looks tight and secure. Glad we picked this crew."

"

Overall the service went well.  The only issue was we had some patching that was done by the old owner in the study that was not brought to attention.  They painted over it which does not look as nice as I would have hoped had it been sanded first.

I rated a "C" on responsiveness as I asked the crew for a price to paint the main floor and never received a call back or a quote from the main office.  However to set the appointment for the this service request they were very prompt.

"Tomas did a great job selling the company.  He provided an estimate but it didn't include any amount for the "materials" they were going to supply which we were to pay for.  The contract said the project would be completed by the end of June.  June 16 we called because we hadn't heard from anyone about picking out tile, toilet or vanity.  After a confusion about communication, Tomas met us at Lowe's where we picked out the shower door, toilet, and vanity.  He then said, "let's go to a place where we can get a really good price on tile." We went and picked out tile and some decorations. We ordered and paid.  It all went very quickly because the place was closing and Tomas appeared to be in a big hurry.  He has a good eye for color and design and was helpful.
About a week later, William began the project.  He was unobtrusive to the family and always polite.  He worked whenever he was on site.  The quality of his work was excellent!
The problem we had was with communications.  William didn't seem to know about a leak we had in the shower which was the cause of us ending up remodeling.  No one came by to check how the project was going.   The two times I called the phone number on the card Tomas gave us, the phone was not answered professionally.  I thought I had  wrong number and had to ask if it was Euro Design.  First time I asked who was in charge of the day to day project; who I should be talking to about my concerns.  I was told Tomas.  So I e-mailed him about the plumbing and he e-mailed me back.  At no time during the actual renovation did I see Tomas.  When the renovation was done, another employee came out to check on the project and bring me the final paperwork.  During the project I was told we needed more glass which was a special order...I was told, "order 5 strips' by Tom which I did even though he  had not come to look at what was still needed. We ended with 3 full strips leftover at $55 a piece which could not be returned!
When the final paperwork was presented, there were charges over $1,500 for materials, including paint costs of $150 for a very SMALL surface (most of the bathroom was tiled).  I questioned the cost and why I couldn't have purchased the paint myself.  The problem was we were told the night before that they would be painting the next day.  We had to pick a color "on the fly" and then rely on them to purchase it...another communication problem.
I presented the Angie's list coupon but was told, "it was already included in the price; everyone gets that discount".
Overall, the quality of the finished product is good.  The shower faucet didn't work right and they came out very quickly to repair it.   The reason I wouldn't use them again was the lack of professionalism and communication.  The phone isn't answered professionally; it is unclear who the project manager is; the work was not done in the timeline we originally agreed causing a sense of rushing to get items picked the job done; and I suggested a line item on the contract which said "estimated materials cost" so the customer has some general idea of the "unknown" costs for supplies.
I told all of this to the gentleman who came to finish up the paperwork.  He said he would talk to the owner about it and see if we could be given an extended year warranty.  He NEVER got back to me.  I paid and he was gone, gone, gone.
This company has great potential but they seriously need to work on customer service!

"Nafi, as the owner of Home Design Center, visited our home and evaluated our situation. He gave us advice on what was needed to make the basement a really enticing room that we would want to spend time in. He listened and took the time to understand what we were looking for.  We started with flooring.  We wanted a low-maintenance floor that would stand up well and be mold-resistant. He invited us into the showroom on Tyco Road in Vienna, VA to look at different types of flooring that met these requirements. Nafi was there to advice us on color schemes and lighting. He recommended we have an accent wall, which we decided to go with, and aesthetically it makes for a much more interesting room.
When the flooring and paint were ordered and arrived, he and his team got to work.  They are organized, and worked carefully and efficiently. They re-did all the crown molding, and ensured there were multiple coats of paint on the walls  They don't nickle and dime. For example, the ceiling required many coats of paint. They kept putting on the additional coats of paint until it looked right. They will do what they need to do to exceed customer expectations. They had to re-do the banister because the original one -- an amateur job from the original owner -- did not look right with the refurbished basement.  He essentially provided the banister at no extra charge. The project came together very well -- the recessed lighting, flooring, walls, crown molding, painting -- all were completed within the timeline and budget we agreed on.
I believe Nafi and his team are dedicated professionals. They do quality work; they are ethical. They do not want to sell you something you're not interested in, or over charge. They give you honest work -- and provide quality -- at reasonable prices. They have my highest recommendation.

"Very happy with Beiztell.  They provide a quote promptly after contact and stuck to it. They were in and out in one day to remove the old fence and replace with the hew fence.  When I arrived home I would never have known there were workers in my yard - they cleaned up so well, and didn't make a mess of the grass. The fence looks fabulous - time will tell if the wood wears well, but it is treated pine and looks good. The pool pump fence was a last minute addition to the job and they did a great job as they had to work around plumbing and electrical and slopes. During the installation they kept my husband informed and made to sure to ask questions if there were any doubts positioning, etc. Overall we are really happy with the work and with the people at Beiztell.  Everyone was professional and polite. They were prompt in responding to questions and delivered on the date they said that they would."

"Our original contractor dropped off of the Facebook of the Earth, leaving us with mostly finished renovation and the new deck I started. I found 5thGen on Thumbtack and Christian was the most responsive and knowledgeable of the respondents to my search for fencing contractors. His team built me a gorgeous fenced-in urban oasis and the double lattice was his idea and custome made for our space. I’m attaching photos. He and his team then proceeded to repair our previous contractor’s errors (like installing new kitchen cabinets upside-down... really!) and did amaze my custome drywall work and mounding work. They even moved our challenger and you would never know the base had been relocated looking at the ceiling. Great great job, reliable and responsive on multiple projects for us since. Our relationship with 5thGen started at the end of 2015 and continues to date."

FAQs for wrought iron fence repair or weld projects in Dulles, VA

Wrought iron fence installation costs $1,200 to $4,200 on average. Your final cost depends on several factors, including the length and height of the fence, the intracity of the ornamental design, and the quality of the materials used. Iron fences cost $7,000 or more to install on the high end. Wrought iron fences are more expensive than fences made using other materials.

Wrought iron railings cost an average of $2,600, including labor and materials. Hiring a professional to install iron railings is crucial to ensure accuracy and safety. The price depends on the type of metal used, installation location, aesthetic elements, and whether you’re installing it indoors or outdoors. Materials include plain black iron, galvanized iron, and ornamental iron.

You should never paint over rusted wrought iron fencing. All this does is mask the underlying issue, as rust can slowly deteriorate the integrity of your iron fence, diminishing its durability and stability. Painting over a rusted fence also causes poor paint adhesion, which can lead to flaking. Be sure to remove rust and smooth the surface before painting.
