"We hired Total Renovations to finish our basement. They were great to work with. They met all of our needs and worked within our budget. Communication was good, and Russell or Tyron would visit to check the progress and ensure the inspections went well at every step. All work was completed timely, and within the estimated timeline. Any questions or concerns were discussed and addressed. The quality of construction was excellent, even amongst the uneven poured concrete basement foundation walls. The studded walls are all plum and the drywall finish is smooth and clean. The basement remained very clean and tidy throughout the project. No lose materials and the floor was always swept clean. "This is our second time working with Kevin and he is absolutely fantastic to work with. During Covid he built us a 2 car detached garage and we had such a great experience that when we decided to finish our basement we didn't call anyone else. Kevin met with us and provided us a quote to finish our basement and we decided right then that we were ready to move forward. Kevin was very professional and thorough and always kept us informed of our basement project every step of the way. Whenever we would have any questions he was very prompt with getting back to us and answering our questions. He started on our basement on time and finished on time. The family room area looks amazing. He had great ideas for a snack bar that we hadn't thought about and are so glad that we ended up adding it. It's so nice now to be watching tv and be able to walk over to the snack bar and grab a soda out of the fridge or put a bag of popcorn in the microwave and not have to run upstairs. The granite counter top for the snack bar looks great! We also added two cabinets and fridge under the counter. We also had a full bathroom added and the tile work turned out amazing. The whole bathroom looks great! When Kevin saw our basement and all my holiday decor and craft supplies he realized that I really needed a place to organize and store all this stuff. He was able to build me a closet that maximized the space and I was able to get all my "stuff" in there. "My wife and I have used Two By Four quite a few times so far. They installed laminate flooring replacing some of the subfloor at the time and while the subfloor was up added ceiling lights to the room below. We had them come back and add ceiling lights, fan boxes, and smoke detectors to 4 bedrooms. They have also done plumbing work in the guest bathroom and the kitchen. They installed a mail box that required a concrete pad and added stonework around it for finish. Finally they replaced some siding and attic vents that were damaged by hail. Every job has gone smoothly, they arrive when expected are friendly and clean while on the job site. We never had any cause to be upset. They have been able to do some jobs like the kitchen sink leak on very short notice. Overall very happy with Gary, Jr, and the entire crew."
